Question about Cell Phones

Samsung u600, keeps loosing signal and allowing emergency calls only when other phones on the same network have signal in the same place. when sending text messages it's is saying 'delivered' and the message is then saved in my out box.

    Same issues!! Sent phone to be repaired - accused of water damage!!



    Defo NOT water damage!!



    Get perfect signal outside, phone only has issues when indoors...must be a problem with the Samsungs signal hardware as know others with similar problems.



    Haver to hang out the window just to get a text sent!!

Try other sim cards in the phone to be sure the problem is not from the sim. When you are sure the problem is not from the sim, try to reset the phones's factory settings. If it still does not work, then flash the phone.
If the fault was detected to be a sim fault, then get another line of the same network, and call your mobile service operators.

My sciphone wont let me make calls and keeps saying emergency calls only


Make sure that the phone is seeing your network. If it isn't then go outside and try again. Get a signal then the phone should work.

If the network is showing but still saying emergency calls only then with the phone still on remove the battery. Place the battery back in the phone and power back up, this should solve the problem.

Did this take care of the problem? If not then you have a bad SIM card and must be replaced.

Emerency calls only!!


Hi
Sounds like you have no signal for the network your on.
Even though the phone shows signal bars, this is for a reception it has found for other networks around you. Networks allow emergency calls to be made by all mobiles regardless of network.

Has it ever worked with your sim? Does it work in other areas you travel? Does it work with another networks sim?

Another possibilty is if you have only just got the phone was it from new? If you have purchased it second hand there is a possibility that the mobiles imei is on a barring list for being reported lost or stolen? If you call your network they have a data base they can check for you. If it is listed as barred there is nothing you can do apart from take it back to where you got it from?
