Question about Kenmore 3.5 cu. ft. King Size Capacity Top Load Washer
If I turn off the washer it just keeps filling and filling, the only way to get it to stop is to turn off the water supply to the machine. Even flipping the cycle to spin won't stop it, it just keeps filling with water and overflowing.
Replace the water inlet valve, the valve that the black hat and cold lines connect to

SOURCE: Filling With Water
I recently had the same problem. I checked the end of the air hose coming from the tub. It had a tear in it right at the connection. I just cut off the hose at the tear and placed the hose back on the connection.
