Hello frosty69,

It would appear that the laptop is not earthed properly. Do you feel a mild shock or something like static? Does this happen when the laptop is plugged in does it also happen when its on battery?

If it is the former, I would recommend you invest in a spike buster/surge protector to plug in your laptop.

If it is the latter, it could be a leaking or damaged battery pack. I suggest you take the laptop to a qualified service center in your area and get it checked in either case.

What do you do when your lap top screen goes black? How do I fix it? I turn it on and it just has a black screen.


Hi Plug an external screen into the latop. You usually have to press and hold the Fn key ( bottom left keyboard ) and then one of the Function keys, F7 or F8, look at the symbols, to give the external screen a signal. If this works then your laptop screen itself is faulty. Most makes can be replaced for £120-00, contact me if you want this done regards Bruce

i think it's overheating, check the fan of your laptop if it's working it might be dirty...

Mouse quit working on my Lap Top it is a Aspire


First of all check whether the touch pad is lock (Fn+F7(?)). If you use an external mouse/ usb mouse, check usb cable connection, as long as you didn't drop it on the floor it should be ok. If the built in touch pad doesn't work, could be caused by ribbon cable connectivity that has dirt or moist. To fix it need to open the upper case

the pc is standing at command prompt, which means it is unable to find the boot.ini file required to boot into windows

When you say you pressed F8 did you keep pressing it until you got a menu saying Safe Mode,last known good configuration, start in VGA mode etc, if so use last known good configuration and let it reboot.

If still nothing then you will need the windows cd to perform a system repair.

update the driver for the touch pad... if that does not work .. then you will have to replace it

When I turn my 2300 Series lap top on the screen does not come on. Also the fan will not start up. The green power light comes on but nothing else.


As the chat goes: Unplug EVERYTHING, let it cool down for a minute or two, then plug in the energy cable. Start it up.

plase use another RAM in the same machine if the sam e problem will arise..its u r mother board prblem otherwise u r ram problem
