Restart How to restart my video cam?

Apart from obvious things like it not being plugged in, it could be that the chatsite you;re using hasnpt been set up for the cam.

Try going into audio / video settings for the site in question and selecting the cam from the drop down. It will recognise any cams you have installed on your PC.

If it doesn't find your cam, uninstall the cam drivers, restart your PC, reinstall the cam drivers ( if you're using Windows the plug and play should work, if not use the disc that came with the cam ) and then restart the PC.

Once restarted, access the site you want to use the cam on, and then select it from teh audio / video set up panel.

hmmm! it may b ur RAM probz!!! chek cam settings! may tht USB port affecting ur RAM wich results in restarting!!

down load split cam and install and try from the id i gave... plz not plz connect you cam only after insulation and restart of your computer,

u need to first install your software that came with your camera and then plugin your camera after restarting pc

Please check in the Device Manager under "Imaging Devices" whether the "Web cam driver is listed". If the Web cam driver is not listed then install the web cam driver either using the Recovery Discs or from the location "C:\Drivers". Please do restart the Computer after installing the driver. Even if the web cam driver is listed under the "imaging devices" in the Device Manager then right click on it and unistall then restart the Computer and reinstall it. Next, use any video utilities such as MSN or any other to check if the web cam is working normally. It's required to configure web cam in the utilities to be used with any other utilities.

Hi there is a software that is needed to be install so that your pc will recognize your camera. Please install it. Thanks Please rate. If you already have install the software.... when you install it do you restart your laptop?

If you tried the video test in the software you were supplied with the camera, try doing the same thing in windows movie maker2, this way if the same thing happens you know there is a problem with the cam driver streaming the audio and video not the software for recording. If it is still out of sync; as i have had on many occasions with my logitech, sometimes restarting the camera helps, because normally the camera programme starts up as soon as you boot up the pc ready for your cam to be connected. To do this there is normally an icon on right side of taskbar, right click on it and select close, and disconnect cam. Reconnect cam and the software should restart. You can also try using a different usb port as that sometiimes cures the delay.
