Dont really think its smoke just water vapor, the difference in temp causes this. iassuming it doesnt do this all the time may be alittle dirty when you can pull the unit out take it to the car wash and give it a bath dont spray the controls and let it dry good before starting it back up make sure your filter is clean and remember ac units remove heat they dont add cool i know this sounds confuseing but thats how they work and dont worry about the vapor its normal when you fire it up.

Why is my air conditioner blowing white smoke?

Smoke or frost? More than likely frost make sure the air filter is clean and evaporator coil is clean this is a sign of low air flow across evap coil or turn fan speed up.

My Maytag A/C is blowing out white smoke. What should I do? Is it blowing something in or is it something inside it? I had it on 75 degrees and on high cool.

If it's blowing very MUCH of it, then it's coming in from outside. There's very little inside an air conditioner that could possibly generate smoke, and VERY little that could possibly generate any LOT of white smoke.

Now... it's POSSIBLE, if your humidity is high right now, that it's blowing cold enough air to condense the humidity in the air, causing an actual cloud (just like the ones in the sky) inside your house. That can happen only when the humidity is very high, though.

My Blazer blows white smoke out from the underneath or exhaust. Not sure cause it only does it after I've been driving it for about 15 minutes. And it's not constant either.

Sometimes the A/C drips water condensate onto hot exhaust pipes and you will see steam. Depends on outside humidity, whether you are using the A/C, and evaporation.

White smoke from exhaust can be a sign of a water leak in the block. You will get some vapor depending on outside air temps and moisture in the fuel. The new Ethanol mix attracts moisture more than the old gas did.

You can benefit from a pressure test of the cooling system. Under normal conditions, it takes awhile for pressure to build in the radiator. This would coincide with the 15 minutes you mention for your problem to begin.

Whirlpool air conditioner blows out smoke it still blows out cool air but after awhile I see light smoke coming from the vents. Any suggestions?

Fortunately, that's not smoke. It's a cool mist or fog, that is caused by high outside humidity and the coldness of the cooling coils. Generally, it's nothing to be concerned about. Just be sure that you keep the air intake filter clean and the the drain hole in the drain pan is not clogged.

I hope this was of help to you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi,
Under certain conditions the "smoke" will form because of humidity in the air....it is nothing to worry about and in fact tells you that the unit is working very well...

New dryer keep blowing 30 amp fuses

your problem (especially if you are using screw-in "plug fuses") i.e. BUSS fuses and cartridge fuses they get hot and with time the insulating disc that insulates hot from neutral (grnd) breaks down and with dryer current draw it arcs over and in summer its more humid which contributes to moisture, have a new sub(pony) panel if you have no room for another 240volt circuit in your main panel, that should cure your trouble

My window unit a/c is blowing hot air. the unit is under a year old

Check your filter and clean it, Check that the high humidity has not iced over your coil, Check that settings are right some air conditioners have a reverse setting that turn them into a heater, make sure fins in condenser is not full of dust vacuum with duster attachment, Make sure that fan opening to outside is not blocked by nest built by birds wasps. If everything is ok call for warranty repair

I just bought a samsung 15k BTU window a/c, I haven't seen any water dripping out of the bottom of the unit. In fact there is absolutely no moisture anywhere. Is this normal. Humidity is low, and it is...

If the humidity is low then the amount of water removed will be low. The AC (I assume is a window unit) May be evaporating it off as soon as its drained outside..

Yes in low temps and humidity it is normal for no moisture to be made in abundance.

This is all assuming the temp is coming down as you direct it to.

Please rate me as high as you can and thank you for using fix ya.

The fan blows but the humidified air stops after 2 seconds?

This is an old post, but you can make sure the humidity adjustment is full high. Perhaps it is defective or possibly, the environment is as humid as the high setting will allow.
