My handset on the display window is flashing "base" i cannot use my landline even though my landline is connected because my internet is working

You didn't include the name and model of your phone - so I can only offer generic help with this problem. Typically, when a cordless phone handset indicates "base" it means that it has lost its link with the radio in the base unit. You should simply place the handset in the base charger for a few seconds and the handset will re-establish a link with the base. The loss of link can happen if you separate the two too far from each other or if the battery drains to deeply. If you still have problems, please provide the name and model of the phone system you have.

Lastly, you can lose phone service even if your internet is still working. Many cable systems use dedicated cables for phone service that are independent of the TV signals and internet. DSL from your phone company is a separate service that is "piggy-backed" on the wire with dial tone. These services can have one service working even if the other has failed. If you have VOIP service however, this would NOT apply as VOIP is dependent on internet connectivity only.

If this was helpful, please rate it "4 thumbs up" Thanks!

When I plug in my ematic digital cmcorder to the computer, it does not show up in "my computer". I know he USB port if fine because I use it for other devices.

Hi, perhaps the camera in question needs to be in play mode to download any pictures-Also not all cameras may be read by the computer, it may need special software. It may even need to be "SETUP" in the cameras menu to be used as a "MASS STORAGE" device. It's really hard to say though, I'm sorry imaybe couldn't have been of more help, let us know if there's anything else we can be of assistance with, good luck Prodzilla

My DVD Player ( ONIDA DFX-7100) is now unable to play any VCDs. I have tried many VCDs which were earlier working fine but now they won'tplay. The player keeps displaying the ''loading'' message and after...

Have you changed programs that you use to burn VCDs?
(Perhaps the program was updated?)

Perhaps trying a different program to make the VCD will work for you.

Also; when is the last time you cleaned the DVD player lens?

No highs being produced, only the bass. Cant figure it out

Try using the customer service help on the www.yamaha.com website with your problem. The service center location telephone number is 1-800-492-6247. Try finding a service center in your area and call them and ask for technical assistance. They have a frequently asked question section, but could find no information on how to use your unit with play station 3. It sounds like a problem with the amplifier bandwidth not giving full operation. You can try to reset you receiver to factory specifications with the help of your owners manual. This might solve your problem. I hope this helps you with your problem.

No sound for *some* blu ray discs / can't get a menu

Some blu ray disc play fine. Others play the menu music, but when the feature starts, the sound disappears completely. And then others don't play music at all, no sound what do ever.

over load means your speakers and its cable----please check it for bad cable or bad speaker------try to insert speaker one by one and test each time to investigate the bad one.--------if every thing is ok and you keep good ventilation around your receiver (no blocking of ventilation holes)and you still have a problem your protection circuit in your receiver needs to be checked by service technician
