Check filter, make sure there is no debris that has absorbed the dye, also check the outlet if i'st connected directly under the sink via a spigot, remove hose from spigot and unscrew spigot from joiner on sink plumbling to be sure it is completely clear. Run a 90 degree wash with a couple of mugs of baby sterilising fluid such as miltons (I buy shops own brand as it's much cheaper and just as effective). I run a maintenance wash in my w/m every 4 weeks with 1/2 mug sterilising fluid to remove bacteria build up and combat the stale smell it produces on all the low temp washes. You may want to consider running a periodic wash also, this will ensure the machine is squeaky clean and therefore will be more effective.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Bleach stains on navy blue do i re-dye ?

You'll Need:
-1 box of rit dye navy blue (or denim blue)
-1/2 box of rit dye black
-3 gallon or so bucket
-Hot water
-Optional blue making/painters tape

You can get Rit dye from walgreens for like $3 but may be cheaper elsewhere. If you check the first picture it shows the difference in shades of color for denim vs. navy blue. Choose which one you feel is better. (Navy blue is a bit darker but more "blue") You can add the full box of black dye but obviously it'll be much darker and closer to black. I find half is a good amount. The size of bucket doesn't matter as long as it hold enough water to fill over the jeans. If you have levi's or other jeans with one of those papery tags on the back you can cover it up with masking tape. I have tried duct and packaging tape and so far blue painter's tape works the best.

YOU NEED GLOVES unless you want smurf colored hands...

Note: there is a way to dye your jeans using a big pot over the stove but that makes a mess in the pot and is INCREDIBLY hard to clean.

New Cannon towels are soft but totally nonabsorbant.label says 100% cotton 100 %aragon

Wash in cold water, and use fabric softener as well as dryer sheets when drying at low heat on dryer. To hot of water and to hot o drying will cause this.

I have a front loader dryer and the inside is turning blue, causing my clothes to be tinted blue.

If you have washed some NEW blue denims, some of the dye will get on everything. Blue denims are often a pain, and if you wear them before washing them they will get that same blue dye all over you.
It didn't hurt your washer, just run a couple loads through and add a little bleach to the whites. Note that if you put bleach in with OTHER colors, they will fade.
The trick is, never wash ANYTHING with blue denims, especially when they're new.

Washes but would'nt spin

Remove front panel by pushing in retaining clip with a putty knife, located about two inches in from the L and R side where the front panel meets the washer top. Pull the thin tube off the left side of the washer's outer tub. Clean out the tube and replace. To prevent re-occurance, use a small hot load with a couple cups of bleach ( no clothes) every couple months, or a small hot load with a washer cleaner (like Ahfresh) every few months.

Got this washer yrs ago..never used. Just hooked it up & want to run a bleach cycle to clean out so I can wash clothes after. What do I do?

A simple way to put a cleaning cycle through the machine is to fill to the highest capacity with warm to hot water and add a cup or two of bleach. Any bleach is ok, but chlorine bleach if your plumbing type allows it is stronger. TIP.....Do NOT mix any wash powder or detergent with the bleach (Check Directions)
Let the machine do it's longest wash, with soak, if it's part of the programme, and after a normal rinse you should be good to go!
Good luck....Nomess

Washing Cloth Diapers with Extra Ingredients

You can strip cloth diapers to help bring back absorbency. I use a simple method of washing clean diapers in the hottest temp possible with blue liquid Dawn dish detergent (1 teaspoon for HE washer, 1 tablespoon for older machines). I also add 1/2 cup bleach because it disinfects and sanitizes. Bleach has always been safe for me but im sure there are alternatives if you don't like bleach. Then a few hot rinse cycles and a regular dry cycle and diapers are more absorbent and odor free.

Bad smell in our washing machine LG Front Loader WD-8074

You don't have to drain all the water out after each use, you just need to clean things up a bit.

There is a problem with the design, in that the drawer area is a breeding ground for mould.

There will be a latch on the drawer you need to press to remove it - take it out and wash it in a hot solution of borax. Alternatively bleach it, and then wash in hot detergent.
Use a spray cleaner designed to kill mould and mildew, and use it with a brush inside the drawer apature to remove all mould build up. It's quite a grotty job - but needs doing.
After that, use a cloth to clean as far back into the pipe as you can.

Do two washes on hot with bleach, then a rinse, and it's good to go.

It is most important you leave the drawer open after a wash, and the door open more than 2" on these machines to prevent it, and a hot wash occasionally for whites. Tell the manufacturer that you won't be buying their brand again.
