  • Hi, you need to make cahnges / adjusment to the "Resolution" on the Monitor. First, (right / alt ) click on an empty area of your "Desktop Screen," next click Personalize from the [short-cut menu], once the window open. Select the "Display Settings in the {Personalize appearance and sound} listings, from here you can adjust the resolution of the screen. You can adjust the "brightness" by doing the following: On the resolution scale adjust from Low>High; you can do this until you are satisfied with the view. In the (Colors) drop box, click the down [Arrow], and choose the "Highest" color (16bits>32bits...) Open the {Advanced} settings, click on the "List All Modes" button, once the window open choose the (Highest) settings, example: [1366 by 768, True Color (32bit), 60 Hertz]. "You can go back and repeat these steps until you are satisfied with the results. *Note: "Always, restart the Computer, after making any changes to the System." "I would really like to know how things worked out for you. Rating the solution is the best way, if you find the time. Thanks for using Fix' Ya"

Hi, vasudeven2, try going to this "Website" you maybe able to get a more "Updated Version fo the Drivers that you need." I hope it works out for you, and much thanks for letting me know the situation. I am more than happy to give more support, when I get acknowledgement that the "Post" was at least viewed as being somewhat helpful!" Click here: http://xpdrivers.com/dell/_2_135448.cfm?...

Hi, vasudeven2 I always recommend "Updating Drivers," for some reason I thought I put this in the first "Post." Since your Computer is very "New" it is my recommendation "not to download to many unknown Software items into the system. The "best and safest" way to get downloads, is through "Windows Updates, or Microsoft Updates" You can access the "Updates from the "Start Menu, All Programs." Also, since the Computer is new, I suggest you do this immediately; and probably most of all have a "Good" [Security:] "Anti Virus Software" running. Once again, thanks for the "feedback!"

First of all make sure you are not in the "Safe mode". To adjust your display setting to a better resolution, you can right click on the background, and a small screen will apear, then go down to personalization and click it. It will pop up a window and on the left side, there should be a "display" and you want to click this and switch to the display screen, and still on the left panel there is this " adjust resolution" click this and adjust your resolution to a higher resolution. Saying that, if your computer running kinda low, then it's probraly all that dell preinstalled programs. You might want to also check your system spec in the windows system information to see if you are getting the full specs. If you are, then it's gotta be the preinstalled programs. I have a i5 450m gateway laptop 4gb of ram, and brand new it lagged more then my i3 dell studio which wasn't preinstalled with bunch of crapwares.
