I need to reset my canon ir2020 back to default. Any ideas? How do I get into service mode. Solutions would be appreciated

System software programs to be downloaded need to be registered in the SST.
The system software programs are registered with the names listed below.

[System Software Registration Procedure]
Start the PC.
Start SST.
Click the "Register Firmware" button.
Select the drive in which the system was downloaded
Then click the "SEARCH" button.


A list of system software programs contained is displayed.

This machine does not allow two or more system software programs to be downloaded at the same time. If two or more software programs need to be upgraded,
register and download them one by one.

When the system software program registration result appears, click the OK button.

1) Turn off the main power switch of this machine, and then disconnect the cables connected to this machine.
2) Connect USB connector on the back of this machine to the PC using the USB cable
Downloading Procedure

1) Turn on the power switch of the PC and start SST.
2) When the power switch is turned on, the Found New hardware Wizard appears. Click "Cancel".
3) Select "MFP" in "Target Selection", and then select "iR2020" in "Model List".
4) Double-click the "System" folder in "Model List" to check the system software version. Select "USB" in "Interface", and then click the "START" button.
5) Turn on the power switch of the host machine.
6) Press the following keys on the control panel to enter the service mode.
Additional Functions Key > 2 Key > 8 Key > Additional Functions Key
7) Using the plus (+) or minus (-) key, select "#DOWNLOAD".
8) Press the OK key on the control panel to place the host machine in the downloading wait mode ("#DOWNLOAD CONNECTED" is displayed).
9) Press the OK button on the SST screen displayed on the display of the PC.
10) When connection is complete, Click the OK button in SST MENU.

How to reset E000, E001, E003, and E007
Canon IR2016, IR2020
Enter the service mode by pressing "additional function" key, "2" and "8" keys in that order. SSSW will display. Press "OK" key.
Change Bit switch 1, bit 0 (might display as the first one on the left using number keys) status, (change 1 to 0 or 0 to 1).
Press "OK" then Press "Stop" or "Additional Function key" to end service mode or restart the machine.

Enter the service mode (Press "Additional Function" key, Press "2" and "8" simultaneously, press "Additional Function" key again).
Go to COPIER----FUNCTIONS-----CLEAR----ERR. Here you can reset all error codes on by one.

Under service mode *28* find the clear all and OK, after that you shouldnt have any pass required, but you need to set the IPadress, and your preferd sets.

OK, you should have canon driver/software cd.On that CD you will find Scan Gear, after installation, open Scan gear and "discover" the ir2020.( copier must be in scan mode) then press select.
Open the word or similar on your pc that is connected with USB to copier.Under tab insert chose the insert from scaner or camera, chose scan gear and custom insert.

you have miss regrestion there are several ways to correct this process 1-go into service mode -function-clear-dc con -ok then take machine off unlug from wall outlet replug turn machine on 2-replace your itb assy. 3-there is another way but you have to be next to the machine and fimilar with second level service mode.
