Ouch my RCA does the same thing. Perfect picture but no sound and no analog channels. The only inputs the work are HDMI 1,2, and 3 so I have been using it as a computer monitor and running my sound the my surround sound.

I have a RCA TV Model L46WD22YX5 it will not read any channels with an antenna, HELP!

The whole USA (years ago now) converted to digital TV signal format from analog (which is what your TV uses), this means that the TV will not pick up any channels without a digital to analog converter box, you can buy them very cheap on eBay.

Cant hook it up to the tv and make sound on speakers

There are a couple of things going on here.

First concept: The physical TV is NOT a good source of audio or video. It's there to turn audio and video from other sources into something your senses can enjoy. Many TV's (monitors) don't even have speakers.

You probably want the TV-related audio to play on your Sony. Your best source is to get it where it comes from. That is NOT the TV, more likely cable or satellite. Draw the best multi-channel audio (digital, if available) from it into the compatible input on the Sony.

The cable box will also have video and analog stereo audio. Run the BEST VIDEO (HDMI or component) to the TV's video and the analog stereo RCA Audio Out to the TV's Audio In so you can watch and hear cable without the Sony if you like.

You could also run the TV's analog Audio Out RCA pair into an AUX input of the Sony, but that would limit whatever you hear to stereo and any audio limitations of the TV.

MY THEATER SYSTEM WONT PLAY MY TV THROUGH THE AUXIN

The physical TV is a 2-channel analog audio device. Think about it this way: Most high-end users use video monitors (no audio or speakers on board). So where does the TV-related audio come from....

It comes from the same place the TV would get it - cable, satellite, dvd, blu-ray, vcr...

So why run audio from any of those sources to the TV and back to the receiver (whose specialty is multi-channel sound)?

I imagine your cable or satellite box has digital and analog audio outputs. The receiver needs a digital input for anything multi-channel. Select the highest-quality one that's compatible with your HTS and use it for the audio feed.

I have a new rca receiver and have it hooked up to my dvd player which works fine. I have it hooked into my tv and Im not getting sesurround through my tv how can I connect to the tv to make it work my tv...

Take a clue from the 10-year old vintage of the TV and the two analog audio cables. It's Dolby Pro Logic Surround at best, not Dolby Surround in the modern, digital, multi-channel sense.

TV's are not the source nor the end of a multi-channel audio chain. Feed this thing a 2-channel source from a Cable Box (into the "TV" jacks), DVD, Video Tape or CD with proper Dolby Surround encoding and will seem to open up the sound field a bit and kick in a little surround effect. It can also simulate a Hall effect and Dolby 3 stereo.

Have Problems with getting Channels?

You've not given us the manufacturer, make and model number, but I see 3 analog inputs on the left and the usb on the right. This tells me the analog audio and video signals must come from a dvd or vcr or tv-tuner. You say getting channels, so I'm assuming you've not hooked up to a digital ready tv hooked to cable or dish or digital converter. THERE ARE NO MORE ANALOG SIGNAL CHANNELS ANYMORE. Everything went digital in June 2009. So there you have it. If you don't have usable information going in, you can't get it out. try it with sterio audio and video from a digital tv that is receiving channels, and I think you'd then see sterio and video out of your pc. Digital box for analog tv not working

if you have the coax cable connections correctly connected , coax out to tv from box and antenna hooked to antenna in on the box then you may have to connect the RCA jacks, yellow = video , red = right audio , white = left or mono audio
because on these boxes you can choose in the menu to have the coax ( channel 3 or 4 ) as the output or the rca jacks ( line out )as the output . so the menu may be set for the rca jack connections untill you change it in the menu

Tuning to pick up sky feed

Sounds like from discription the sky feed is set up for analog channel 6. With my TV-HVR-1600 card, there is an option in the wintv application when you click the menu button in the application that says channel suite. If you select this option, you should find and option for analog source. Select analog source in this screen and you should be able to manually add channel 6 in the box at the top of the analog souce screen. Also if you have the sky feed connected and you you click the scan button on this screen, it should detect automatically is the sky feed is on.

Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?
