Every time i turn on my toshiba laptob it says error F3-F200-0002 and then i tried holding the "0" key and now its saying error F3-FF00-0006

Try to press the F 2 key on start up ..and see if it gets to Bios settings ..if it does..first time try to restore defaults..(load factory optimal defaults...save with F10 and enter to confirm and restart ) ..
If this will not do the job ..go back to BIOS , and in there look under advanced..and locate the hard disk ..On your hdd 0 you will find a feature called ACHI ..This is a bout the raid driver..on sata ..and if you do not have a raid driver loaded..you have to disable the ACHI ..and let the hard disk controller on Sata as IDE or Sata ide compatible ..save changes with F10 and restart ..and will work ..
If you have windows 7 or vista on it ..and you have a recovery partition ..Boot from it ..and this will fix the issue ..but if you have windows xp ..you have to make the changes..ort reinstall the xp ..and when it asks to press F6 to load 3rd party drivers..do it ..and insert the raid driver for it ..(try to see if it will accept a USB ..in case you do not have a floppy ..)
The easiest way is to disable the achi like I said ..or if you have windows 7 to reinstall teh operation system ..

My Acer Aspire T650 Computer came with Windows XP Home Edition installed on it. However, viruses invested the operating system and I had to do a fresh installation. Because the computer did not come with...

The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP. The FIX. Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

I bought lenovo G550 last week. It came with Windows Vista. I want to install Windows XP on it. I have found that lenovo has driver for windows XP so that will make my life easy :-) But when I try to...

you are most likely getting a BSOD with a stop error code of 0x0000007B which is caused by the Windows XP CD that you are using doesn't have the SATA Hard Drive controller driver needed to recognize and utilize the hard drive. If Lenovo has XP drivers for this model then they should have a SATA driver (roughly 394k) that will need to be loaded FROM A FLOPPY DISKETTE during the boot to XP. (XP Requires the driver to either be slipstreamed into the CD or loaded from a floppy diskette. Trying to load the controller driver USB or a different CD will not work)

Can i create a bootable cd to reinstall SATA drivers?

Yes, you can create a bootable disk
No you will not be able to install SATA driver from it ...

You can get SATA drivers from your manufacturer web site but I doubt you need a bootable CD to do that.

May I suggest you visit www.pcpitstop.com and have then scan your computer. review the report and take appropriate action.

thank you

Check for sata drivers, if it is system is shipped with SATA hdd, need to install SATA Raid drivers during reinstallation .I believe that the dell system was originally shipped with Windows XP or Vista Operating system which has SATA drivers for SATA hdd. Since windows 2000 Operating system does not have SATA drivers hence unable to recognised hdd.

This particular error sticks it ugly face out when windows detects that a hard drive with the OS has lost its connection to the system.

That in plain english means that windows cannot initialize your hard drive, I assure you it has to do with windows xp and your system configuration. The simplest way to solve this would be to enter your bios setup and set your Sata mode to emulate an ATA drive.

What windows is doing is trying to look for drivers for your HDD it can't find them and therefore doesn't know how to get it workin so it stops. Go into your dell bios and in there you will see an option like this.

Sata/ATA - select this option for ATA emulation and therefore not drivers
Sata/AHCI - select this option for auto detect, normally the default, generally needs drivers, if there are disks configured for one of the raid modes, the system detects this.
Sata/RAID - select this option if you always have raid drives.

You want to select the very first one. If you for some reason can't do this or it doesn't work but it will. Then you will need a dell xp cd or have to create your own xp cd reinstall xp and include your third party raid drivers from dell's website.

Please rate my solution

Restoring dimension 9150

Yvon,

It sounds as if your restore partition has become corrupted. You vcan Contact Dell and order a restore disk

As far as trying to Install from Install CD goes. Well Win XP does NOT recognize SATA drives natively. You have to install the sata drivers to get them to appear. You can download them from the link below.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=XPS/DIMENSION%20400/9150&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
If you have a floppy drive, this is easy just copy to a floppy. Then during the install WinXP says something to the effect of "Press F6 to install 3rd party or RAID drivers" hit <F6> and direct it to the drivers on the floppy.

You should now be able to complete your WinXP install.
If you don't have a floppy drive post back here and we'll try to see if we can get the drivers in there another way.

Thanks
Dave

TARGA TRAVELLER 1591 TRYING TO DUAL BOOT ITS GOT VISTA I WANT TO INSTALL XP PRO BUT XP CANNOT SEE THE HD IT NEEDS THE DRIVERS. HOW DO I INSTALL THE DRIVERS FOR A SATA DRIVE INTO MY XP INSTALLATION CD

OK I managed to install XP on Targa Traveller on 1591!
With the CD of window XP it is necessary to make F6 for the starting up of the installation and to use a diskette with the pilots(drivers) SATA of NVidia nforce. Naturally the most practical are of incorporated the pilots(drivers) SATA into the CD Windows but I knew how to make;) link for the pilots(drivers) SATA:
If after the intallation of the pilots(drivers) at the beginning of the copies of file An error of copy of file (cann' t copy spin NVr dll) make Esc (65 files nvidia not copied) and continue the installation up to the restart.
I put out(switched off) the computer, removed the hard disk to put it in an external box usb on another computer I have to copy files dll to System32 or system32 / drivers, file .inf on file windows/inf and file .sys on system 32 or system32 / drivers
I restarted the computer and finished the installation links Pilots(Drivers) xp (I am not sure for Chipset drivers Chipset...you must verify)

Good luck

Failing install of PCI SATA Drive

You need to load the SATA Controller driver for the XP install to access the HDD.

The driver will need to be downloaded and extracted to a floppy diskette, then loaded during the XP install.

If your system doesn't have a floppy drive, you'll either need a USB floppy drive or create a slipstreamed XP CD with the driver added to the CD.
