Hi! Please try this. Unplug the computer from power source and remove the battery. Press hold the power button for 11secs. while the battery is off and the cord is unplugged. After 11secs. please put on the battery and connect the cord to power source, turn it on and see how it goes. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Ok, so its working but not booting up. The problem could be on the board itself for its not responding. There could be blown capacitors which causes the motherboard to fail specially on boot ups or sometimes may result to system crash. You will need to have the capacitors replaced for it to work again or maybe get a new motherboard for ensured maximum performance.

Try a hard reset. Remove the battery and power cord, then push and hold the power button for about 30-45 sec then plug just the power cord in, Also the battery could be shot but that is hard to tell how to check over chat. Good Luck

Do a basic test:

2-Take off the battery from the battery socket
3-Plug the charger/cable

If the problems continue:

Get another charger/cable and plug it.If yes Your MOBO is bad.

My Presario CQ50 won't turn on even when plugged in. Battery charge light flashes, but no other lights come on. Do I need a new battery?

Most likely issue is that the cord has been damaged, or that the power jack has become loose.

First step is to remove the battery and try plugging in. If the light comes on, on the front of the laptop, your battery may be dirty or defective.
If the unit will still not power, you will need to test your cord or look into a new cord. If the cord puts out the proper 19v (give or take .5v) then the issue lies with the laptop jack. Otherwise a new cord will most likely do the trick.

My Compaq Presario V3000 laptop will not power up.

Power drain would be a better solution in this case.
1.first shut down the comp
2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer

Hp pavillion will not turn on, took battery out and put back in still not working. blue light around power cord on and blue lightening bolt flashes

Hi Iceprincess5

The three flashing lights indicate the battery is dead. Since it still wont power up with the cable plugged in I'd say the port has gone. Try wiggling the adapter about in the port to see if it begins to charge. If not then you would need to take it to a laptop repair centre to get a new dc port soldered on or buy a docking station.

Compaq presario notebook v6128tu won't turn on

You can try to remove that battery and try to turn it on again.
Sometimes this will happen if that don't work the remove the power supply and try to turn it on.
If you see the blue light around the power input then it's obviously getting power but it's redirecting it somehow which brings us to the battery again heh.
Let me know if this does not work

Acer aspire 3500 wont hold charge or turn on

I had to buy an new ac/dc plug piece off of ebay (cost only like $3 bucks) to sodder onto the mother board of my Acer. Somehow the little plastic/metal piece you plug into your computer comes off the mother board really easy. Acer wanted me to purchase a whole new mother board (at frigging $350), which, frankly wasn't an option. So I bought the little plug gizmo, soddered it on, and I'm doing good now.
