You may have a belt motor problem. Turn the drum by hand and if it turns freely the belt is off at the motor pulley. You can try to connect it back on the motor pulley but what caused it to come off first off. Your belt may be bad or the pulley assembly may also be bad. You'll have to pull out the dryer and remove the back panel to see and repair. Good luck.

Frigidaire frfw washing machine drum motor not running. Drain pump and fill valve each run for about 2 seconds then pause and run again for 2 seconds.

usually theres a service panel on the back for the main drum belt, remove that and see if the belts broke or teeth gone. if the belt is there then maybe the main board replaced. might be more cost effective to buy another machine than a new board, you can go to a USED appliance stored for parts verses buy new ( 1/2 price)

My Frigidaire gallery dryer stopped working it will buzz when I turn the starter knob but never starts nor does the drum turn ,then I smell a burning smell

if you can hear the motor running then probably the belt is either too loose and/or broken (you may hear a rubbing or squeeling sound).....if you cant hear the motor running then it may be burned out....a very acidy smell.

Either problem requires taking the dryer apart to fix (new belt or new motor)

Dryer heats but doesn't turn.

Most likely the belt broke on the drum. Less likely the motor died. When turn the dryer on do you hear the motor running? If so you probably broke the belt. You will have to unlock the top and pull the front off. The belt rides around the drum towards the back of the dryer.

Fridgaire dryer model #FDEC216RES1 drum isnt turning

If the dryer does not turn then you need to take the back off and see if the belt has broke or come off. If the belt broke or came off then you can get a new one at most home repair stores. If the belt is on and or not broke the see if the wheel mounted to the motor will freely spin. If it does spin the make sure that the electric wires attached to the motor itself are attached and there are no shortages from the motor to the relay on the back of the control panel.

Frigidaire sensor gas dryer will not turn on, power supply and breakers ok, Makes a noise like it wants to turn on. Drum is free and moveable.

if you can move the drum by hand and it's humming it sounds like you have a bad motor or the belt broke and is jamming the motor and that's why the drum moves, you have to get in there and check it out, open the door and the model number should be there, next time send model number

When Turned on, drum will not spin?

if the motor is running, your belt is the problem.if all you hear is a slight humming noise, you may have a bad motor,or something caught in blower. if the drum turns easily by hand, its probably the belt

The dry heats up great but the drum does not turn. Is the alot to fix and is it worth the money to fix this dryer

Good Morning, If the drum will not turn you may have a broken belt or one that's getting to the point of breaking. You can unplug the unit or turn the breaker off and remove the back. This will give you a view of the drum and belt. You can the plug it in being careful not to touch the wiring and see if the motor is turning or you will see the belt as it is rapped around the drum. If the motor pulley is not turning with the belt on, the motor is faulty. If it is turning and the belt is broke or having a rough time moving the tub it more then likey could be the belt, if it is not broke. If you determine that the motor isn't turning, then it may not be worth the $ to replace with labor + Parts. If it is the broken belt only, it may be worth the cost, you can call around.Take into consideration the age of this dryer also. I Sincerely hope this has given you some direction to follow.
