Hi! If the sound card is not working then the problem will be on the sound card itself. Try reinstalling the sound card driver and see how it goes. If no luck on the installation then the problem will be on the sound card itself. YOu will have to replace it. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Audio doesnt work from hard drive, speakers dont work when plugged in

The hard drive doesn't make the speakers work. However, the drivers that DO make the speakers work reside permanently on the hard drive...once you install them. To install the audio drivers for your computer, visit your computer manufacturer's site, go into the support section, enter your model number, download and install the audio driver, then restart the computer. Sound should be coming out of the speakers now, unless the speakers themselves are bad.

There is no audio driver

You can download the audio drivers for your computer from the manufacturer's WEB site.
I cannot give you the link to the manufacturer's WEB site because you have not provided the make and model of your computer.

Had a new Hard drive installed in my laptop, since then the volume does not work. I hear beeps when battery is low, or notifications, but thats all. I cant watch the news or a video? whats the solution?

Recent changes of hardware component such as the hard drive will affect your system since the previous drivers and configurations for other components were installed in your previous hard drive, thus likely your audio is not working. It is like introducing your new hard drive to the system by installing the audio drivers and/or other drivers that is needed to make them collaborate and work. So try to download and install the audio drivers which you can download from this link. Click here: and follow these steps.

• select your region and language
• once directed to the next page enter your laptop serial number (check underneath the computer for S/N:) and click search
• it should display the drivers available for your computer
• scroll down and see the "Audio" section
• select the driver which is compatible with your system
• after downloading, the drivers run it and it will be installed into your system

This should fix the problem for your audio issues, hope this works.

No sound when i put in cd or dvd was working ok untill my computer crashed

check the following

Microsoft Volume Control or your mixer program mute options and volume sliders.
Connect headphones to the stereo phone jack on your CD-ROM drive’s front panel; adjust the volume control settings on the drive. If there is sound from your headphones, check the CD audio cable connection from the CD-ROM drive to the audio card.
Ensure the speakers are properly connected to the audio card’s output connector.

hope this can help

goodluck

I was missing my audio drive intel 82865 g . how to get audio drive please tell me

You may have to identify your audio device on the motherboard if you do not know this type in unknown device identifier into Google and download this small program then double click on it and run the program This should list all the hardware in your computer go the the soundcard entry and it should tell you the make you can click on a link to a driver for this device or once you know it go to a web site called driverguide.com fill out the free registration and download the make and make sure it is for your OS once installed reboot the computer and it should work

Please rate this so I can improve my response

Replacement DVD-Rom has video but no audio

You should be able to get sound thru the IDE cable (this is the same type of cable also referred to as a ribbon cable, your hard drive connects in the same way) that is connecting your drive to the motherboard. turn the pc off and unplug power and reseat this cable on both ends be careful as the pins are fragile and will break

if this doesn't fix your problem let me know and we will try anotherr solution
