I have no clue how to describe my problem.

If a tech opens the case, you're not going to lose your warranty, even if you do it. It sounds like the plastic container that you plug your power supply into has either broken around the outside or has come lose. If usually fits between both pieces of the case, so you have to open it to put it back in place.

Hp pavilion dv6 2117ax will not power up

Since you already got a new charger, then the problem could be the power jack of the laptop and/or the connections inside the laptop.

Try to plug the power adapter slowly and try to wiggle it. It you feel that the power jack is wiggling, then the problem is a loose power jack that is why it won't charge. And you need to have a tech tighten that up for you.

The power cord when connected to the laptop is loose and looses connectivity. how do i tighten it or secure it to keep the connectivity?

Laptop chargers usually split into two parts, there will be a "brick" which is usually connected to a thick cord which has the plug on one end, and there will be another, detachable, thinner cord connected to it as well, which has the laptop adapter. Ensure that the charger is firmly plugged into the wall, and also ensure there is a secure connection where the second cord plugs into the charger.
Has anyone recently tripped over your charger? Did it fall? Could it have broken from wear and tear over time? If the answer to any of these is yes, then you should consider getting a replacement charger, there isn't really that much you can do to fix one if it's loose like that.

How do i open my laptop,so i can tighten my power cord input

You will probebly find that it is not a matter of tightening up the dc jack, if it is loose, it is coming away from its housing and you may need to replace the jack.

Open it up again. Take the video card out. Take the Ram out. Unplug the hard drive. Unplug the other drives. Unplug the network card(s). And unplug anything else that is tied to the motherboard. Now plug it all back in snugly. Finally, turn it on. It should be fixed.

Here's a direct link to the service manual for this laptop:

Based on my experience troubleshooting such kinds of problems, you will need to get the motherboard out of the case to be able to replace or tighten the power connector.

Screen hinge too loose

a the base of the screen you may see some scews that cover access panels, open them up and you can tighten the little nut that tensions the hinge. I had a laptop that was shaky and I tightened the hinges and it was OK after that.
