The motor in my Philips vacuum cleaner does not sound right. I think I may have vacuumed some liquid and damaged the motor. It sounds unusual and there is a strong smeel of burning frommit when I turn it on. Can it be repaired?....its only just over two years old.

You will have to replace the motor. Some can be repaired, but it would cost about the same.

Suddenly stopped steaming, tank filled steam light stays on, no steam but heats up? Problem solving in manual just states the obvious? Can you suggest anything else or will I have to contact Hoover

Perhaps Element not heating to full temperature to generate steam.
Temperature sensor may be faulty if element is ok.
1 Element or 2 ????

Sorry... No magic fix button

Open it up and start testing things.
a multimeter comes in handy here.

Why is my hoover agility not sucking up water

It is likely the recovery tank lid is loose. This means the suction is loosing. Worst case is the suction pump is faulty.
Look at this manual in the troubleshooting section.

there should be a fuse next to the power supply. If fuse is good, than the power supply is faulty.

After I run my vacuum for a couple of minutes it shuts off. If I unplug the vacuum and plug it into a different outlet most of the time it will start working again.

I would say check inside the plug and make sure the connections are tight. If the vacume runs fine on the other socket outlet then it will bw a faulty socket which cuts your hoover out. Can buy a new socket frount from diy stores for about 2-3 pounds. If the hoover also cuts out on the other sochet it will be a temperature cut out device on your hoover. If this is the case empty the bag and give it a good clean and get rid of any accumalation of dust/dirt

I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel bagless mach 4.7 vacuum that shuts off after about 30 seconds. I suspect it is overheating, but there are no clogged lines. The on/off switch is in good working order. Help!!

is your filter clean? you should be able to see the pleats in the filter pretty clearly. also the metal screen that is next to the filter should be clean as well. if the problem continues it could be a faulty thermal protector ( a device that shuts the machine of when it over heats. )

Hoover Savvy self propulsion not working

The switch contacts are burned out and the switch must be replaced. This link sells the whole handle with switch but, check your serial number to be sure to get the right one. If you can use a Philips head screwdriver, you can do this easily.
