Loud popping and decrease in volume

A few months ago the tv would come on in the middle of the night at full volume. I figured it was remote control issue, lately, it has a loud popping sound and the volume decreases and slowly returns to normal. Is it fixable or dying a slow death?

Had the same problem. Noticed that I was getting a power surge from the cable connection. Switched the input from cable to digital connector. Continued to happen for a few more weeks and then stopped on its own. I also noticed that the remote became intermittent around the same time. The picture is now turning green.

I'm guessing power supply problems fluctuating, or main control board.

The volume on the tv at 100% is not loud, and I am not sure if there is a way to turn up the volume on the tv or through the HDTV cable box

There is something wrong with your cable box. Call the cable provider and they will walk you through setting it or do it remotely. They will not charge you for this.

Bush lcd42f1080p100hz remote will not turn tv on

I had come home about a week ago and pushed the power button from my remote but my tv did not respond. So I just went to the front panel and pushed power but once the tv turned on, the volume was on full blast! I used the front panel volume decrease to get the volume down, but when I stopped pushing the button, the tv increased its volume to full blast again by itself! Naturally I just turned the tv off for a few moments. I tried the remote again, no response again, so I used the panel power button. The tv volume was still full blast when it turned on but after I decreased the volume it stayed this time. The picture is and has been perfectly fine and the tv was working fine. The next day the problem started all over and now once we turned it off from frustration of having to manually use the panel to change channels, it now will not turn on at all. I have changed batteries from my remote, reprogrammed my remote, pushed system reset several times, unplugged it for a while, bought a new surge charge, and even held the menu and device panel buttons for 10 sec and tried to turn the t.v. on again! What other options do I have or what may be the issue at hand and possible parts that may need to be replaced?? Thanks!!

LG TV 32H3300 - volume increasing and decreasing by itself. It will increase if it was turned up via remote last and then will decrease by itself when volume is decreased via remote because it was too...

The cause of the problem is that the switch of your tv is dirty when cleaning it you must be familiar to the unit and the parts you will remove to prevent any damage you can use a contact cleaner, when applying a contact cleaner you must only spray it to the switch. Consult a expert technician to do it for you actual.

Very little volume, not very loud at highest

On the TV-use your finger to adjust the volume level, about midway, then use the remote to shut off the tv, then turn on tv with remote. Volume level should be better! If still not loud enough...using your finger on the tv...turn up volume & repeat remote steps.

Having connected up my PVR915OT I am unable to increase the volume on the TV to a reasonable level of volume using the Humax handset- can you offer a solution please?

As far as I recall, the volume control on the PVR remote only controls the volume from the PVR. So, select the volume fully up (using the PVR remote) then increase the volume on the TV (using the TV remote) until it's as loud as you can stand. You can then adjust (decrease) the the volume to suit using the PVR remote.

Pioneer SD-582HD5 - screen went black, no sound, Poor remote feed

The blue tube might be leaking coolant in the high voltage area, that is the cause of the POP. This repair might not be a DIY because of the lethal high voltage surrounding the CRTs tubes.
The slow response from the remote could be because the coolant has affected the main board where the IR signal are going to the remote sensor.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

Polaroid FLM 3232 is making a loud crackling noise overpowering volume

Your only solution is to change the sound to mono. Eventually the power supply will go and the tv won't work.
