Question about Hitachi C1424T 14" TV

Open Question

Can't get my XBOX 360 to play on my portable TV

The scart adaptor for my 360 is broken, so I'm using the white and yellow AV plugs, but i just can't find the channel. The 3 channels I get by pressing the AV button are called ''AV-1'' ''F-AV'' and ''RGB''
There must be a way to get it or why would they put the ports on the front of the TV...?

Also, its not a C1424T, its actually a C1426T, but there was no option for for that

If the sat feed is on channel 3, and the TV is tuned in and still does not get the feed, check the feed wire to be okay. If all is okay, there is a possiblity that the tuner module in the set has failed.

SOURCE: Can't change channels

I had exactly the same problem. I finally found the power button on the underside of the TV. It is well hidden and to find it, you need to run your fingers underneath the panel. Turn it off for a minute or so and turn it back on and then turn on the switch on the panel on the upper right side where the channel and volume buttons are. It works.

SOURCE: Hitatchi 42HDF52 only receives channel 5 and 6 on analog RF input

If you have tried autoprogramming and have found nothing it may be a bad tuner. Is your VCR is hooked up via coax or into a video input? If it is hooked up via video and is working but the coax connection direct isnt it will be a bad TV tuner. Easiest cheapest fix is to use you VCR to change channels or get a Digital Cable Terminal from you cable provider and hook it into video or compnent.

Where do i plug the different leads in the back of my tv i havn,t got a yellow port for the yellow connecter

What sort of tv do you have, is it new? If its new it may well have an Hdmi connection which gives you the sweetest graphics....
If your tv is older you probs have a scart connection, the yellow lead carries the video signal, some tv's have three little socket that the red yellow and white leads plug into if you cant find anywhere to plug it in you will need one of these , a scart adaptor

1) Connect the red, white & yellow audio leads in to the 360 scart adapter and then plug this in to the scart socket on the tv
2) change the xbox 360 selector at the back of the console from HD to TV
2) Select the input of scart on the tv

You should now get pictures & sound.

Try using a scart switch, therefore you only have to use a basic scart lead from the TV to the switch. then plug your xbox scart into the switch and it should work
