Question about Bose Cinemate Digital Home Theater System Speaker
My Bose Remote works everything BUT NOT the Interface did everything unplug, change batteries, etc. nothing
Called Bose that could not help with Troublesooting. Bose stated that I needed to send it in for repairs @ $75.00 + tax & S&H to come well over $100.00 then some. unless someone can tell how to fix the problem.
Seems like it is happing alot with this Product. Bose trying to make more money. was planning on buying the 5 spker system. now not so sure

Hello everyone! The Bose interface module is working again. All I did was unplug the power, wait about a minute and then plugged it back in. Whatever it did, it must have reset itself, so now everything is fine.

SOURCE: Bose companion 5 problems
Have had Bose companion 5s for about three years. The external volume deveice in not active. If I unplug it, the sound goes dead. The indicator light is stuck on green and is very dim.. The touch feature does not respond nor does the volume. Sound is set very low an barely audible. Can I get replacement external volume control or is the problem inside the base unit itself? Any help out there with a similar problem.

SOURCE: Bose 321 Remote not working
Pull off the front panel, be carefull there is a ribbon attached. Detach the ribbon. There are 2 ribbons attached to the front panel, one that leads to the IR (remote sensor) and other for the controls on the top of the unit.
Most likely the ribbon that goes to the IR sensor detached itself, this is common if the unit is dropped etc. Insert the ribbons (2) re-attach the front panel and the remote should work fine. You'll notice some tape on the IR ribbon, I suggest using some stronger tape, BOSE tape thats not very good.
This happened to me on my 3-2-1 GS II system and fixed it.
