Question about Freezers

There is a possible chance that your compressor unit is faulty. You could have a failed valve within the system, check for oil leak gas leak. if so you will need to refill oil/gas. However since you have not indicated the age of the freezer, if the unit is older than 6 years , I would recommend that a new compressor unit be fixed or you must consider after looking at the cost of this replacement for a new unit which would be more power efficient and carries along a warranty.
