Sch will be really hard to come by since Dell does not really make the monitor, most of them are made by SAMSUNG and BenQ.
Send me pictures if you want, may be I can help you identify the bad parts. budmrtn@aol.com
That symptom may mean the power supply goes into shutdown mode due to short circuits.

In a dell e177fpf lcd monitor all the capasitors fuses diodes in power supply and inverter board are ok.but the back lights remains 2 seconds.

Hello...I recently opened up my Dell E173Fpf monitor because the screen went black, yet the power button was green. I thought it was a capacitor problem. But before doing anything I gave the board a thorough inspection, looking for anomalies. I observed a substance, (later identified as silicon) puddled around the power connections. I gently removed the semi rigid stuff and didn't touch the capacitors as I had originally planned. I partially reassembled the monitor for a test run and it worked again. (Being 9 years old, I don't know for how long...) Only thing I can think of is that a spill happened at the factory and over the years it gradually "melted" to puddle around the wires behind the power input. (Weird, but that seems to be what happened.)

Do you have Schematic for my monitor

Hi
Dont think they are available any more. It's becoming a throw away world.
I used to fix them.... without a schematic. Your local TV technician can often assist with repairing an older style monitor. e.g. CRT tube type.
Modern monitors are LCD & digital electronics. Although they still blow fuses & have switch mode power supplies with leaky electrolytic capacitors that stop the power supply from working.
If your knowledgable in this field then I would start with a visual of the power supply. Be careful of the shock hazards.

Good Luck

Where can I buy a power supply for an AOC LCD monitor model TFT 1780?

hi, i don't know if you will ever find just the power supply board for this monitor. i repair lcd monitors for a side business and i have never found the exact power board i needed for any of the monitors except for dell 17in. you would have to look on ebay for another broken monitor just like your with a working power board, broken screen maybe. that being said, why do you think you need a power board complete? the parts on the board are replaceable. maybe you could post a reply so i can read to help with what the symptoms are and help you diagnose the problem components? if you posted pictures in your reply of both sides of the board, it might help me describe more in depth.

No Power, No lights ... Nothing! Is there a fuse inside?

Hi,

Definitely an internal power supply issue. Dell uses a combo inverter/PSU board with P/N 790441202. This particular board uses a tablet type fuse very near the AC jack. Should a replacment be warranted rather than component level repair, pls reference this page.

This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

NO POWER ON INDICATOR LIGHT AND NO Screen Raster on Monitor

Hi,

Initially, pls check D854 on the Power Supply/Logic board. It is a dual diode. If you would prefer board replacement rather than component level repair, this might be of help.

This is of course in addition to checking the usual, power cord, fuse, outlet etc.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

NEED DIAGRAM

Monitors are disposable items and not normally repaired. Technology moves on and High Definition Flat screen monitors are the way to go. The only place you would get a schematic for it is from Dell themselves. Unlikely you will find spares for it. If it has no power, then it is a power supply unit problem. I suggest you get a new electrical mechanic :>)

Hi Tom,

there are plenty of basic component overviews in the D500 Service Manual, but I don't believe you're looking for that specifically. What you're looking for is a circuit board schematic, to see the exact paths.

Unfortunately, Dell uses a strictly proprietary wiring scheme, so you'd have to call them directly. Although personally, I'd advise against repairing the board yourself, even with your experience. I think It's quite obvious from the burnt out components you've found that the board was subject to abnormal voltage levels, most likely from a power surge. There's no telling what path the electricity took, and how many components it's damaged. replacing those two inductors (if they are, in fact inductors) could fix the problem, or it couldn't... it's hit or miss at best. It's for this reason that most techs just replace the board instead, soldering it only if the problem is a leaky capacitor or two.
