When you are charging the set the icon that represents is the ligtening bolt. since you are charging for the first time. so so for 12-15 hours, then use it to drain completely and recharge. do this three times. The your battery will come back to optimum condition. It is good if you can do this once every week to discharge and recharge which will enhance your battery life. do not try to charge mid way all the time but try to schedule your charging cycle. Helpful? good day

Not many buttons to control it but you might hold down the on button for a long time while the charger is connected.

My iphone is pluged up and it is supposed to have a lightning bolt beside the battery life and it doesn't . It is almost dead and this phone is brand new. What do I do?

When charging the lightening bolt should be shown in the middle of the battery symbol! Are you using an original Apple charging cable and is it a USB mains or computer charger?

My CyberPad iview's battery is completely dead. How do I recharge it? Blue light is not lit when it's plugged in and there is no lightening bolt appearing.

Is the charger ok?(silly me). Unless the battery is functionally dead, it should work. Sometime plugging into another wall outlet may help.

I cannot open my laptop with control-alt-del. when I power on the laptop, I get a continuous high pitched alarm. also, the battery charge (lightening bolt icon) does not stay lit. Is it power adapter or...

It could be either or both. First, use a multimeter to check the power output from your adapter to see if it is within specification (your particular computer requires 19 VDC). If the voltage is low, you need a new adapter at least. The battery charge icon not staying lit can be because of a bad adapter, but also can be because of a damaged connection in the plug where the adapter jack plugs in. If you wiggle the plug, does the icon go on and off?

If you remove the battery from the computer and leave the adapter plugged in, does it make a difference?

Only more rarely is it the battery itself. Try the above first.

Is the lightening bolt supposed to flash orange? The battery will not keep a charge at all, so I have to keep it plugged in all the time. Does the orange flash mean I may be in danger of losing files, etc....

The orange flashing lightening bolt is confirmation the battery does not charge. It is not an indicator of any other hardware failure.

You can remove the battery if you find the flash annoying. The laptop will be lighter without the battery too!

I am having the same problem

The bios can only be flashed if you have more than 10% battery charge. check if you have any other AC adapter. is the battery does not charge with another adapter then it could be a battery or motherboard fault. Try another good known battery, If even a good known battery fails to charge then its a motherboard issue. Call technical support and get the motherboard replaced.
Rate if useful.

Cannot tell when sansa mp3 player is fully charged.

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged - it will interfere with the charging process. Here is a link to the full user's manual:

Flashing device status light

Ok the lightning bolt is your power indicator: solid green-charging, Flashing green-fully charged, flashing red-low battery, flashing red three times the once green-bad battery. the "trash can" looking one is your hard drive activity indicator it will flash while your hard drive is reading and writing.

Horizontal lightning blot = OK = the battery is already fully charged

Vertical lightning blot = enough power for charging not getting to player - your USB port may be less than 2.0, or may be malfunctioning for some reason - try a different uSB port first - if still the same result, go into the Device Manager and make sure there is not a yellow exclamation mark by the USB port.

Use the wall charger if it will no longer charge via USB.
