Make sure graphic driver is installed and working fine for that monitor.
Press windows key + R then then you can see run type in run "devmgmt.msc" without "" then press enter then you can see device manager then check graphic driver display adapter.
Uninstall old driver and reinstall.
Also make sure in display property resolution is set to 1024*768 then apply.
When 2 monitor connected to 1 cpu set left monitor vga display adapter as primary and another as secondary you can set it in dislay property in control panel.
Then check.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,
You may have problem with Monitor or with the Video Card, Try another monitor, if it worked then problem with your monitor else you need to replace the video card.
Another problem could be loose connection (cable) with monitor, try to connect it again.

Thanks for using fixya,
Good luck and have a nice day.

The connection between the monitor and the PC has gone faulty. You should tighten the the plugs on the PC as well as on the Monitor. If that doesnt help then there must be some loose connection or dry solder etc. You should consult a certified repair person if that is the case.

Hi

Most likely cabling. Check the monitor cable, jiggle and re-seat the connectors at both ends. If that doesn't fix it, try a different cable. If that doesn't fix it you have a problem with your monitor or with the video card. Try a different monitor. If that doesn't fix it, replace the video card.

Let us know if you have something more to know else accept the suggestion.

I'm surfing the the net then suddenly the whole screen turns pink, i rebooted it but nothing's change.. and i let it sit for 1 whole day to cool off but nothing happen's..

Your VGA cable is loose or damaged. Try removing it and plugging it back in a few times.
The VGA cable is the blue one that goes from your video card to your monitor. If it is one that can be removed from the monitor, make sure to disconnect and re-connect both ends.
You can do this with the computer running. Wiggling the cable around should cause the pink screen to go away. If the wires inside are broken you will need a new cable.

Hope this helps

I added the E196fp to my older dell computer with win 98 from my newer dell with win xp.The whole thing has a pinkish hue to it and is very dark

mklotz, Try looking at the vga connector end and make certain all the brass pins are not bent or broken or recessed down into the connector body housing. If connector ok, then connect, disconnect, reconnect a few times and try to see if the PINK has changed to WHITE. If still PINK, then reseat the video card in pc. If still PINK screen, Then monitor may need to be repaired. CCFL ballast circuit repaired and/or CCFL lamps have too many hours on them and they also will need replacement. Report your findings here with additional info for me. 12fixlouie

Whole screen pink and edges distorted green its on my dell insiron 6400 laptop

check the connctions on your monitor. I had this problem on my monitor for 2 months and it started shortly after I cleaned my desk so I thought maybe I had accidentally pressed a button. I found out later that a wobbly connection to the monitor gave faulty connection info to the screen so I just touched it today and it went magically white. Please try it before attempting anything else!

My monitor has a pink tint to the whole screen.

That is the sign of bad lamps, it will get worst (no longer lights up the screen). You already try new VGA cable and more than one PC?

SCREEN FLASHES, PINK STRIPES , SOMETIMES BLANKS TO BLACK THEN ON

This issue could be either the Monitor inverter failing or it could be your Video card. If you have another computer available, plug the monitor into a different computer and see if you get the same behavior, if you do, then the monitor is failing and needs to be replaced. If on a different computer it works fine, then you may have a video card failing. Does it seem to happen the longer the monitor is on? Could be as it heats up, it starts to fail.

My monitor screen has gone pink

first check the monitor by pluging in on different source like another pc or laptop and see if pic is still pink if thats the case

check the vga socket in monitor for pins that are bent or damaged try straighten then with some pointed object and see if it works

otherwise if ur pic is still pink then ur monitor is faulty but i think this is not the case
if ur lcd works fine on other pc or laptop then my friend ur vga card is faulty u need to replace it this is the only solution

pls rate me FIXYA if i fixed ur problem

Pink screen on the laptop but when iattach an external monitor it works fine

pink screen is usually a sign of the backlight going bad. Does it go from pink to normal after a while? usually that is the ccfl warming up- but it will need to be replaced- either the whole lcd, or just the backlight (ccfl) part of it.
