My Technika STBTAW07 remote will not work. I have tried changing the batteries to no hope!!! What do i do?

If it is its original remote control, without any adjustments, it should work with it. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Insert the USB dongle that came with your technika wireless mouse into a USB computer port on your machine.

This dongle, which resembles a regular flash drive in appearance, can be plugged into any available USB port.

Once inserted, it immediately turns on.

Insert the required amount of batteries (typically two AA batteries, though it changes depending on the model) into the compartment on the bottom of your HP wireless mouse.

Flip the "ON" switch on the bottom of your technika wireless mouse.

Press the "Sync" button on the bottom of your technika wireless mouse.

The mouse will now sync with your computer and will be immediately usable.

i have read some good and bad reviews on this mouse one stated the wireles stopped working several times and it had to be replaced

Try unplugging the TV from the power point and leave it for 5min before plugging back in.
Then try switching it back on.

If it doesn't come on the TV may have a fault or the batteries on the remote may be flat, try changing the batteries.

It really depends which version of Sky remote you have. You can check this by looking inside the battery compartment. If you have a sticker with RC1600/00 then it probably wont work your TV. If it says REV 4, REV 6, or REV it might work with one of these codes:

1177 or 2011

However, according to Sky you need the VERY latest Sky remote to control the Technika 22-220.

Personally, I thought REV 8 was the latest version, but it seems they have a newer one. I can't find any reference to it or anyone selling it though - even Sky themselves.

Try the 2 codes above and report back.

The remote that came with the unit has a ROM (Read Only Memory) that does not expire when batteries are removed. Just place fresh batteries in the remote, and carry on.
If it is a general multi unit remote, it needs to be reprogrammed. You would need codes for the components you have to set up your remote.
When you change batteries in the remote, change 1 at a time so power is never all the way removed. (that does not apply to configurations where the bateries are 1 behind the other)

Have you tried 065,0065,0335 or 0649..?

try a remote reset by pressing every single button on the remote starting from the very top left hand button and pressing every single button - if that dont work ring the helpline with your reciept and they can sort you out from there.

A good way to test if a remote is working is to get a normal phone that has a camera on it.

put the camera option on the phone and point your remote at the camera phone. Press the button you believe to be faulty. whilest looking through the phone. if you see a little white light the button is working fine if not try a few of the other buttons to see if its the hole remote that is at fault.

the way this works is camera phone's dont like IR (infrared) so this will show as a little white light on your camera phone.

if it is the remote you could always buy a sky digibox remote. as the Default code will work your Technika tv. ie volume, channels, power, also the help button will change your source/av on your telly.
