Question about Sub-Zero Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
My sub-zero refrigerator is having some issues. It's a refer on top and freezer below model. The refer is working fine but the freezer is having problems freezing. The coils in the top of the freezer become covered with frost which eventually makes a fan in the freezer make noise. This is followed by the ice maker becoming jammed (no more ice production): bad for cocktails on the weekend. The problem is temporarily solved by turning off the freezer (placing the freezer items in a cooler), melting the frost, cleaning the water out of the freezer, reloading the freezer, turning the freezer on and voila' it begins working (making ice) for a week.
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
