Should make no difference, however if you have not activated the security feature on it, anybody with a wireless device can gain access through your system.

HOW TO CLEAN MY TELESCOPE

There's a good reason to ignore dirt, aside from reducing the things to worry about in life. A dirty lens or mirror can always be made clean, but a scratched one is scratched forever. Cleaning causes tiny scratches, or sleeks, if you don't do it right, and maybe even if you do. A few sleeks don't matter, but a lot of them will. So clean your optics rarely.
the traditional method for dusting optics is to brush lightly with a camel's-hair brush. Sold in camera shops, these brushes have soft bristles with minimum tendency to scrape grit against a lens. Brush very lightly. Store the brush in its container or a plastic bag.Camera shops also sell cans of compressed gas for blowing dust off lenses. Be careful with the kind that use liquid propellants; these have a reputation for spitting onto the glass and leaving a residue if the can is tipped or shaken in use. Blowing (instead of sucking) with your own breath is also likely to leave spit marks.

My schrin is upside down

All astronomical telescopes show the view upside down (and some have right/left inversion too) For terrestrial views, a erect image adapter is available but NOT recommended for astronomy as they reduce contrast.

Hi guys my telescope will only move up and down in the asention. it will not move left or right and motor fault scrolls across the controler. its a lxd55. can you advise me please.

Are you using a separate 12 volt power pack? which you should use.

Change the batteries to fresh ones. Turn the scope on and do a Calibrate Motors.

This adjusts the motors for the electric voltage being used. Your scope will go crazy when the batteries drop to about 60% of charge. That's why a separate 12 amp hour 12 volt power pack is preferred.

I just got the Tasco Space Station for Christmas (Refractor) and for the life of me I can't make any elevation changes with the tripod that came with it. Please help

This is a simple up down--- left right mount. There should be a knob that you loosen a little bit to raide the scope UP in elevation.

Hi i have a tasco nv360 but from a couple fof days it switches on but i can see any thing..the led's switch on and the ir as well but when i look in i see total darkness..can you please help.....

The computer has NOTHING to do with being able to look through the telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if you have one. Practice focusing on a distant object during the daytime.

I purchased a Tasco Starguide 114 with Mission Control about 10 years ago from a upplier going out of business. I have never used it but am now interested in doing so. My problem is that I lost the...

I found this comment on Amazon.com-

"Hello Amateur Astronomers,
Purchased the little Gem at Service Merchandise in Illinois, back in Feb, 02. What I did not like about this Go To scope was Star Guide hand control and that chinsy battery pack. (watch the frail wires, they break off the terminals.)
First, the Star Guide hand controller is very complicated to figure out. For example, when first turned on it reads "custom"
What is custom? Custom means the kind of scope. The instructional manual then reads if your telescope doesn't function properly, then go to the menu (#3) and scroll down to the correct model. Listing custom again and 3 other choices. Oh, those many addendums! One addendum to the manual advises you just skip everything and be sure to use "auto align" citing a two star alignment. Another addendum then reads it it not advisable to use this method since you have to know the stars names and location. Well, guys, what other method is there?
Be careful, though, the little battery pack that powers the 114 is not built into the scope. I don't know how many times my scope wrapped the rubber coated wire around the tripod and into the mount. My advise is to velcro the Vinyl covered pack to the fork mount, and get the wires (which are black) out of the way.
Another gripe I had was switching observing locations. Finding stars at the first location, the scope functioned properly, however, for some reason, it didn't like Dansforth Illinois. Even though I picked kankankee as the nearest city, it just wouldn't point to anything, not even Venus. I suspect someone forgot to program other terrestial locations in the hand controllers database. So my advise is to load the proper latitude and longitute into the controller if you're going to switch observing sites. Oh, and those poor blotes in Ohio, well Ohio, and all its cities, are listed under the State of South Dakota? Also Tasco is not honoring its warranties, since, as I understand it is going under."

Sadly there are no manuals for this long ago discontinued telescope.

Here is the main Tasco web site. Maybe you can contact them and find something out????

Running on internal batterys? They may be depleated. A large diagonal should go into the focuser, if the reducer/adapter is removed.
