Question about GE Profile Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator with Internal Dispenser 22.2 Cu. Ft. - PFS22MIS
Our GE French door profile model " pfs22sisbss " had beed running high between 9 - 25 last weekend. We scheduled a service call for the past Friday. By Friday morning it turned down to 1 . The service guy looked at it and said the board needed to be changed. He changed it on Friday, yesterday morning and it has gone up to 32 since then.
The fridge is 2 years old! Please do you have any suggestion?

Call the service company back and make them fix the problem, period. If they said that would fix it then they just bought the repair no matter how much it costs.

SOURCE: GE French Door handle loose
To tighten the screw the first step is to remove the handle. With this model just pull straight up on the handle. It can take a little force but after it finally unclips it moves up an inch or two then pulls straight out. Good luck!

Possible main pcb failure failure which would cause everything to cut out and restart . Is the compressor or back of the appliance hot ?? Do all the control lights go out when the compressor cuts out ??

Hi, It sounds as though the condenser coil may have a sheet of lint on the front of it causing the compressor and system to have higher then normal head and suction pressures. If you can pull it out to get behind it, there should be a fiber panel on the bottom. Remove it. You will see a small fan motor, a coil, and the compressor. It sounds that if the compressor runs all the time and its not as cold as before, this coil needs to be cleaned. If the fan motor is not on but the compressor is, the condenser fan motor is faulty. If it is on, try and clean the front of this coil very good. Shine a light through it also. If you pull a sheet of lint from the front of it, this was your problem. Do this, and keep me posted on the unit in case this is not the problem. Thank you,

Look into rear of freezer and see if a layer of frost is building on rear panel. If yes you will need unplug and manually defrost with a hair dryer. That will help speed things up. You will also need the correct model number to get the correct parts. The odds are the defrost heater is defective. Because cold air is heavier than warm it tends to settle to bottom freezer making it appear OK. If there is no frost in freezer rear wall then we would look for the air supply damper to be closed between compartments. Look and see what you are going to need do and I will look up the parts assuming your model is a PFSF5NJXBB I will return soon, Thanks, Sea Breeze
