Chances are you wont find a driver for it to run on vista. depending on how long you had it the manufacturer probably doesn't support it anymore. Try re-downloading the driver, right click on the file, go to advanced and select run in compatibility mode. that may work.

Open Device Manager, Uninstall the Graphic Card and driver, reboot the machine, allow Windows 7 to apply the generic driver, Open Windows Updates and run. OR, open Device Manager, display adapter, update Graphics adapter. OR, Use the eMachine windows vista 64 bit drivers. Download the Windows Vista 64bit driver and Save , open Properties, change compatibility to Windows 7. Look for a driver for Vista as it may work, otherwise you will have to manually install an xp driver, try the vista driver search first and let me know how you go

Looking for windows vista drivers for compa workstation evo w6000

Hi,
Sorry the Evo Workstation W6000 does not support Vista.
You can however try and find Vista drivers for certain components like your audio for example, if it's Realtek AC audio you may be able to source a driver for that. If the graphics is Intel you may be able to source a driver for that but you need to know which manufacturer made the different components so you can source them individually, it takes time but some people succeed.
If you don't know who made the internal components like audio and video then your better off reinstalling XP, get all the drivers for that, go into device manager and jot down all the manufacturers and type of the different components like display and audio, then you can try and source Vista drivers for them.

Good luck.

Doesn't look like Prolific has a device driver for Vista yet. Contact them and try to convince them to write one for you.

Display drivers for vista

Hi all,
I tried numerous solutions for this issue and none of them worked except this one. I tested it with Vista Ultimate and don’t know if other Vista versions have the same drivers but here’s what worked for me:
1. Right click ‘Computer’ then left click ‘Properties’ to open up System window.
2. Click ‘Device Manager’
3. Click ‘+’ on ‘Display Adapters’ and you should see the drivers for your video. Right click and select ‘Update Driver Software...’
4. Select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ and click ‘next’.
5. Click ‘Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer’
6. Untick ‘Show compatible hardware’
7. Select ‘Intel Corporation’ then select ‘Intel 82865G’. Click next
This will install the drivers. No they are not the same drivers for the hardware but they work a treat!
