I have the same issue. I can's seem to find a way to turn off the "refresh mode" so it won't show me the message every 10 minutes or so. It is quite annoying and I would like to shut that feature off. Please post a response if you know how to fix this. Thanks, Dan

This is the Panasonic Customer Service Answer:

you need to reset the unit to get it out of store mode sir
make sure the unit is on and we are not in any menu screens
press and hold the volume down button on the front panel
and ok on the remote at the same time until the words self check appears on the front of the screen
once self check is displayed unplug the unit from the wall for one minute
after one minute plug the unit back in and it will go back through first time setup
make sure you pick the home mode

*** I Found out how to fix this problem. You have to reset your TV. Menu, Setup, Reset. As when the tv is put up, if on display at the store, it is initially set to "store mode". When the tv is first put on, there is a prompt message that asks to if the tv will be running in a store or at home. The refresh mode is a new feature for stores as it shows every input features. Video 1 quality , HDMI, etc... For customers. So reset your TV and the problem is solved.

*** update! reset does not quite cut the trick. the actual solution to have the option to chose from home or store mode is to unplug the power from the tv from your wall for about 5 seconds , plug it back then turn the power on with your remote. the choose the home option. Problem Solved!

It sounds like you might be in the PIP mode. check your remote for the PIP (Picture in Picture) and go hit it several times the picture should move around on the screen one of them should be the OFF.

LG M227WDP turns black a couple of seconds

Do you have the "sleep" mode turned off on the computer?
As well, you can try different screen resolutions and refresh rate settings on the video section of your computer. That might make the connection to the TV more stable.

I have a vizio vw37L and after about a min or so the picture goes out but it still has sound

Does the screen go black or does the screen turn off? To determine this, cup your hands place them against the screen with your face in your hands. This effectively blocks all other light out, if the screen appears to be lit even though it is black, the screen is still on.
If the screen in on but black, 1. Check the cables that are attached. If there are separate cables for the video and audio, make sure the video is properly inserted. 2. There is an internal problem with wiring. Check your warranty and try and return it or get it repaired.
If the screen is off, 1. The lamp is burned out inside the tv. This is usually a free fix if the tv is under 2 years old. Contact the establishment where you purchased it or the manufacturer for details.

Unit powers up for 5- 10 min good picture....then it goes black power light goes from green to red and flashes once and solid and repeats pattern .........if i go up to unit and push power off and back on...

There is circuit problem inside. For safety reasons power might get shut down! Unless the fault is rectified, this problem will continue. Do not attempt switching ON again & again. Get authorised service center assistance.

While watching tv half the screen goes black

Download software from the Phillips web site. Use a usb flashdrive to transfer the download to the TV. This worked well for us and our picture is better than ever.

Display says 60hz always

Ignore it. That rate (60hz) is what the cable provider is refreshing at as the signal is sent to the box, but the TV will then refresh at 120hz. I know that the manual does not state this, but the TV is working correctly. Go to the "menu" and "picture" and set it accordingly.
