Question about Televison & Video
On the KDFE55A20 this sounds like a bad Q-Box. I would get an estimate from a Sony authorized servicer as this part may be quite expensive. On the 55A10 model this may be the B-Block and is also quite expensive. Getting an on-sit estimate would be the first step I suggest. Again go with an authorized Sony servicer. Call Sony or go to Sony.com for customer service. Good Luck

SOURCE: LCD TV picture has suddenly
The main processor board is starting to have unstability with clocking pulses. The normal fix is to change the processor board. What usualy goes bad on these boards are many of the electrolytic capacitors. These are all mostly surface mount types.
It would be very time consuming and expensive to troubleshoot to locate the bad caps and replace them rather than simply replace the board.
Sometimes there can be damage because the power supply or another board is at fault.
In the end, if your monitor is out of warranty you would be better of to replace it with a new one.
