It sounds like the destinations are not created, in order to be able to scan from the device you need to configure the scan destinations, and update the printer. you will have to configure the settings on the toolbox as well as the solution center. You should be able to scan from the computer, as long as the full software solution was installed. there is also a fix scan utility available for download on the hp.com website. Use the utility in case you cannot scan from the computer

My scanner is plugged in but when I try to scan a document it says my scanner is not responding

Hello,

If it is your first time using your printer, then you need to install the driver for it to work.

If you have used your printer without any problem before then, there are two possible reasons why your printer/scanner is having that issue:

1. Connection error
2. Driver problem

First thing's first. Restart your computer and your printer. there are times that computers and printers just need a restart for it to work. Yes, it's strange but it's how things work with machines. They need rebooting to work smoothly.

If rebooting your computer and printer won't fix the problem. Here are the things that you can do.

1. Connection error:
.
a. Turn off your printer and turn it back on. Try scanning, if no go.. proceed to step b.

b. Unplug your printer from your computer and unplug it's power cord and press and hold the printer's power button to 5-8 seconds to completely drain the power. Plug it back in to the wall outlet leaving the connection between your computer and the printer still unplugged. wait until your printer completely turns on. Plug it to your computer and do the scanning process.

If all steps above don't work, then you need to check the driver.

Uinstall the driver of your computer by going to the control panel. After uinstalling it, then reinstall it by using the dvd that came with your printer. Follow the on-screen instructions and try scanning. It should work.

If it doesn't, please reply to this thread.

Thank you for using fixya.com

How do i delete memory

Hi
On the control/operator panel press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second.[Unplug machine if it doesn't shut off after pressing the <ON/OFF> button].
Wait like 10seconds and press the ON/OFF button again.
The machine starts cycling.
Wait until it finishes and then try printing.

Good luck.

I want to scan my document through 3 in one canno MP530, so I load my document in the document tray and press scan button. Bu \t it not respond, so please assit. Thank

Put your document in the feeder on the top or open the hood to put it on the glass. Then press scan and start or "ok" to get the process started. Watch the digital read out on the printer when you press commands.

There are two ways to scan using an all in one printer. One way is requesting the scan by using the software inside the computer. To do that, open the software that came with your printer and click on the scan option, then follow the prompts. Using this method requests the scan from the pc to the printer.

The second way to scan is using the controls on the printer itself to send the scan to the pc. Using this method is a little harder and more complicated then the above stated. When you press scan and then ok or start, the printer might need to search for compatible programs to send your scan to. if this is the case, then you will have to choose from the programs that it retrieves and displays in order to make it happen. if the printer does not automatically locate a compatible program installed on your pc to send your image to, then the scan request cannot be completed and it will error out.

How do i scan something on my pc/

Just use the Scanners & Cameras function in the control panel. Double click this icon to start commencing the scan process. Just make sure the document you are about to scan is already placed in the printer scan bed.

There are also printers that has scan button on their printer. you can use this if you have. Press the Scan button. Wait on your pc and save the documents.

I hope you got the idea.

My printer is displaying waste ink tank near full press ok key. When I then press the ok key it does not respond. How do I reset it. Many Thanks

Do the following
)Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan
Now you should be in service mode from there for waste ink tank reset it is simalar to what has already been posted

2)Select Test mode which is like the last avalabe selection
3)Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other option this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button

The menu will now say EEPRON Clear
Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set

Then press Stop/Reset Followed by the power button and then wait for it to restart.

HOW TO SCAN FROM SCAN TO BUTTON IN THE NETWORK FROM HP 2727MFP

You need to install the HP Scan software on each and every PC the MFP should scan to. In this software, you can create targets for the "Scan To" button. But: This is only useful when scanning with the ADF, because when scanning from the flatbed, you'd need for every page to hit the "Scan To"-button, press "Scan", wait for about a minute or two until the MFP has found the appropriate PC, and wait for the scan. So network scanning is unfortunately very limited with this machine.
