Takes a while to start up and turn on. Sometimes purple pixels
When I try to turn on my TV/Cable the receiver comes on, but the TV Clicks for a while. It will eventually turn on. Sometimes when it comes on after a few seconds, the screen has purple pixels. Once TV is warm, everything works fine. Any suggestions or answers?

Purple Panasonic PC>TV Problem:
The VGA cable uses three primary color RGB channels.
Red, Green, and Blue.
The picture is made up of pixels or dots arranged in a grid along the "X" horizontal axis and "Y" vertical axis.
The computer mixes the intensity of each color channel to create a unique color per pixel.
All RGB at 100% creates white.
R+G creates yellow.
R+B creates magenta, ie purplish.
G+B creates cyan.
So a purplish tint sounds as if your Green wire has no signal, which may indicate a faulty VGA cable or VGA socket.
Put another way, (R+G+B)-G=R+B=magenta.
So try another VGA cable, spray all socket pins with "Servisol " or similar contact cleaner.
All 0%=Black; All 50%=Grey; All 100%=White.
That is correct that canister is the lamp, seems its trying to light, If you have not replaced the lamp since you purchased the unit then this is the perfect time to do so. This buzzing from the ballast is normal just means it has received signal to light the lamp. Just start by replacing the LAMP>>>

Write down your serial # (found on the back or on the side) and your model # and call 800-Samsung. The issue has to do with the capacitors and if your TV was manufactured between Dec 2007 and May 2008 they will send a repairman out to repair for free (one time only). I just called and they are sending someone out to repair mine. Apparently there are tons of people experience the same problem.
hey, i had this problem with a CRT television once. My subwoofer would cause the same issue in that TV. There is a rather large magnet in the subwoofer that creates a field that will mess your TV up if it's too close to it. not sure if the same applies to the plasma, but i'd definately move it more than 5 feet away from the screen. sometimes it takes 24hrs or so for the tv to repair itself after doing so. hope this helps.
