I can think of 2 things off the top of my head.
1.. you dont have enough free space left on your hard drive. You need at least a couple of gb for temp instalation files
2.. you have a virus/malware infection, if that is the case this may be usefull

Why does it take 10 minutes to get my computer out of hibernation

If you have a lot of program, or windows open when you put your computer to sleep, or in hibernation, it will take longer to wake up, as it has to load everything into memory that you were using. If your computer is low on RAM, or you're using more RAM then your system has, it will be slow due to loading up what's in virtual memory. Try closing some programs before putting your computer in hibernation. If this doesn't help, try checking your computer for malware.

Have you tried connecting it a different computer? Does it work with the other computer? If not, then it's not the driver.

There is a listing available somewhere in Windows wherein you can "quick launch" a program to have it mostly loaded when first turning on the computer ( or have the program deleted from such...

A program can not be 'mostly [or partly] loaded' actually. You can go into the program's settings though and see if there's a way for it to 'Run on Startup', which would load the program when your computer boots up. The only problem with this is that it can slow your computer down and make it take longer to boot up.

You might have another part that has gone bad. Check the RAM and see if it gives you any problems.

There is a program call mem test that you can burn to a CD and test your memory. But if your no longer able to get to the bios:
you def had a hardware problem.

Dear,
Your HP computer may be new, but your programs must be compatible with your operating system. If your Creatacard is older, the compatibility most likely stops with Windows Vista. Windows 7 is like a "brand new day". Read the label on your CD. It will tell you which systems it will work on. I had Windows 98 and Windows Millenium. When I upgraded to Windows XP my "create" CD's no longer worked.
Try downloading Avery cards. Be blessed.

When Windows starts up, a number of programs will start automatically. Most of them don't need to start but they do. The more programs that start up, the longer your computer will take to load everything.

The first thing to do is to get rid of all the junk in your computer. Uninstall any program you no longer want.
Clearout all your old temporary internet files.
Do a registry and adware clean.
Get rid of old documents and files, anything you do not need.

To see the programs that start when you boot up:
Click Start
Click Run
Type msconfig
Click OK
When the window opens Click Startup

You will see a vast number of programs that your computer loads each time you boot. You can uncheck a lot of them. Do a google search for startup programs before you uncheck anything. There are some good guides that will tell you what to allow to start and what you don't need. Note any unchecked program will not be deleted or uninstalled and will still work when you want them. You will need to restart your computer if you make any changes in msconfig

I would also suggest you defrag your hard drive.
Go to Start-Programs-Accessories-Syatem Tools-Defragmenter
Follow the instructions.

Do not rule out the possibility that you have a virus or some other spyware program running in the background which slows things down. Check these out too.
