I have an Insignia ns-2v17r Sport. I have installed the software that came with it. I run Windows Vista 32 bit. When I connect device to usb port the Arcsoft Media converter shows that I have no device connected. Any help is appreciated. I reloaded the software and even changed usb ports, still not corrected.

when i try to download it dont work

  • mahoneyc Sep 19, 2008

I can't download songs from iTune, video clips from RealPlayer or Windows or Quicktime, and the converter program no longer comes up, and when it did, did not convert any of my files, songs, videos. The insignia downloaded once, without even notifiying me, from Windows media player, but no more. Everything is 'unrecognized.' When I tried re-downloading software it said it was already running, but when I went searching thru the computer program panel, it said there was no such program. So now what? I can only play what is already on my insignia, and not the lectures that I had intended nor the songs I wanted.

According to http://retrevo.com/search?q=Insignia+NS-2V17R&rt=sp AVI is not the supported file type for this MP3 player.

I myself had this problem and wanted to solve it.
It only reads MPEG-4, so if you can convert it to that, I'm sure it'll work.
Personally, I haven't gotten to that step yet for I have only just now found out that that is the file type needed for videos to work.

I'll reply again with more information if I get some.

Alright, I have a program that seems to work for a conversion.
    http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downl...

So far, everything seems to be working alright.
It is pretty easy to use.
Um, unless you want to shell out money for the complete version you will end up having a "watermark" in your movie.
Now, I'm poor and when it comes to trial software this seems to be the best you can get.
Otherwise, you can only convert a few minutes which is a large problem if you want to watch a movie.

No viruses from the download, so don't worry about that.

    Hope this helps

PS, it is best to have this run at night if you are converting a movie as it takes a long time and will interfer with other programs that are running.

My insignia won't turn on

I had a similar problem. Try holding the power button, or slider, for 20 seconds. Then turn it on. If this does not work, try connecting it to your PC.
