Bosch dishwasher Dishwasher runs much longer than timer, stays at 88 minutes for an hour! When I open it and then close again, timer will say 90 minutes! It will run for hours till cycle is completed! Most of the time dishes are still wet.

Similar problem - cycle runs for a while, in my case it gets stuck at 45 minutes. It continues to run, but does not move to rinse cycle.

I have the same problem with this model! I dozed off after I started it the other day and it ran for 4+ hours! Fortunatley I woke up and was able to switch off. I am planning on having someone come to fix it but saw the recommendation for cleaning the control panel...not sure if that is easily accessible but will look.

I have the same problem. When the unit starts it says 2H in the window. The water does not seem to get hot enough so I think its the water heater, not the control panel. I have 2 of these dishwashers and have paid more in repairs than the units themselves. I've had it with BOsch and am about to buy a Kitchen Aid but beofre I do I'd like to find a cheap way to get this fixed.

Hello guest. seems you have a leak in the base. Looks as though motor is washing dishes but actually its the drain pump thats been activated which doesnt allow the timer to proceed forward.

HI Stevid 1 there are 2th/stats in the heating circuit. 1 is for over temp. protection and the second is for the timer to continue control. find the th/stat. for timer control and bridge it out temporarily. the timer should proceed without waiting for water to heat up properly. If so, your th/ stat is needing replacement as its switching over to soon.

I had similar problem. Would run for many hours and then not quite dry. I replaced the control module and all is well now.

Dishwasher has been flooding my floor off and on for months. Repairman coming Mon but now it will not run. Timer started at 90 minutes, went to 88 minutes and froze. No water went in, nothing. I HATE this...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with you can open the lower front panel of the dishwasher and check the hoses as water under the dishwasher may be originating from a leaky hose or loose hose connection. Other things that should be checked are door gasket, drain hoses and/or main tub seal. Also check the pump seal and if the dishwasher is too old then its really time for a new one. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

The "2H" is an error code indicating the control panel needs to be replaced.

Opened door on cycle, will not continue cycle after closing door

The most common problem for a dishwasher to not restart after the door being closed is a failed door latch interlock switch. Adjusting / repairing it is not too difficult.

Of course this assumes that the Dishwasher power circuit from the circuit breaker remains powered up.

Post back here if you are looking for more details.

Good Luck!

sounds like a bad solder connection on the heater relay of your control unit. more than likely you will need a new control unit. part number 266746

Soap dispenser cover won't close

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

Bosch dishwasher cycle doesn't end

Try this link, http://www.applianceaid.com/boschDW.html for procedures for running self-tests on various Bosch models using the front door switches. Find your model and read and follow the procedure.
This remaining at '1' problem invariably relates to a 'heater fault' which has usually been traced to an open solder joint on the control board located behind the switches/indicator lights on front door. See pic here of open solder joint http://www.flickr.com/photos/zenzoidman/145089572/ In most cases, the heating element has not been at fault.
I got mine going again by resoldering the joint and saved ~$300 in parts & labour. If this is beyond your skill set, then replace the control board assembly, 266746, which is used on multiple Bosch models. See this page for more information if you want to try to DIY. http://www.appliancejournal.com/appliance-parts/bosch-appliance-parts/bosch-dishwasher-control-module-266746-37/

If this is still beyond your skill set, then call a tech & supply the Bosch model, serial number, and the results of the self-tests.

Dishwasher keeps running

I have seen this several times, and all of the times it has a bad control board. usually if you take the control board out, you can see a visibly burnt spot on the back of it wher a connection has melted. Another possible slowrun time problem could be that the water coming into the dishwasher when it fills is not hot. If it isnt hot, it takes the dishwasher longer to heat the water to temp, and therfore it runs longer. Is the water coming out of your tap reasonably hot? if not you may need to turn up your water heater settings. But if nobody has messed with the water heater, or the tap where the dishwasher is attached and the problem just started then thats probably not it. Good Luck!
