The fault could be the power supply, safety door switches, or the main logic control board. Any one of these, or combination of these, can cause the oven to act like its dead.

Frigidaire microwave model ffmv164lsa constant beeping, with little symbol to the top left hand side of the clock displaying with the beep.

Hopefully no one sprayed a liquid cleaner directly onto or near the keypad...

From page 23 of the owner's manual:

"Wipe the microwave oven inside and out with a soft cloth and and warm (not hot) mild detergent solution. Then rinse and wipe completely dry."

"Clean the outside surface of the microwave with soap and a clean damp cloth. Dry with a clean soft cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts of the oven, do not let water seep into any vents or openings."

If there is moisture damage, it may dry out by itself if you leave it overnight with the door open. If not, the warranty would be voided and you'd have to arrange for out of warranty service.

If there is no moisture damage, and it failed not due to outside forces, then you should contact the manufacturer to arrange warranty service.

I have a samsung microwave model # smh1816s working fine all of sudden stop working no power is there a fuze if so where

They do have a fuse. They also have thermal cutoffs and possibly a thermal flame sensor fuse. the main fuse would be near the control panel the thermal flame sensor is usually near the back of the cavity usually on the left side on the outside of the cavity.

Kenwood KEN-ST/AL25 Aluminium Microwave need the manual lost mine

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Microwave will heat v.slightly but will not cook

Make sure that the power level is on high. I'm guessing you already checked that. There is a malfunction in the microprocessor, the firmware in the EPROM, The Litz Coil (high voltage high frequency) or a bad Magnetron tube. Either way, unless it is a super high end MW, it is not worth repairing unless you can do it your self. If you have a volt meter I can go through some basic troubleshooting with you when you repost. This is high voltage stuff so be careful, eye protection, rubber gloves, no jewelry.

My microwave

Hello,

I’ve read through your problem in an attempt to find a solution to my own similar issue with my microwave oven. Other solutions (like unplug appliance overnight and reconnect to power source the next morning) did not work for my appliance.

Just as I was about to call it quits and go out to purchase a new microwave; I gave it one last try. This time, instead of pressing any and every single button on the keypad, I decided to press BOTH the "Stop/Clear" AND "Start" buttons AT THE SAME TIME. . . . . Voilà! This worked for me, but sadly, it's now May-2008 and I'm pretty sure your own microwave is long gone, since your posting appears to have been quite some time ago. Well, hopefully others that stumble through these pages with similar issues may find some assistance with my approach. Oh, and btw. . .I got this idea (which worked) from remembering the instructions on how to reset my cellphone. Many thanks, ~paul
