If the smoker is not used very often, you could have a plugged orifice in the valve. Open the grill up and take out the smoker burner. Take a very thin wire and clear out the orifice.

Very low flame /full tank

Hi dahlhaus2...
Check your burners for plugged up holes, or burn-outs in the flame control element (burner).
Check your regulator, it can sometimes stick and not allow the right amount of gas to the burners.
Check to make sure the hose has no holes in it.
Check your control valves for trash in them restricting the flow of gas.
Sometimes if the regulator is sticking, you can take a hammer and lightly tap on the regulator and it will unstick the valve that controls the gas.
If none of this works, then replace the gas regulator it is faulty.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Low flame - even at full power. Help! Propane tank is full.

there is a high flow check valve in the regulator designed to prevent large amounts of propane from escaping. sometimes this gets activated by turning it on with the burner valves open. 1. turn tank valve off 2. open burners .3. close burners after 10 secs. 4open tank valve slowly.

I just bought a brand new kenmore elite grill (for $199). I am new to grilling. The burners seem low - the one on the far left in the back has a flame but all other flame levels are low. Also, I cannot...

If the burners are set to the high setting and the flames are still very low, you may have a bad propane tank. The valves on the tanks go bad sometimes. Take the tank back to where you bought it and tell them you think the valve is bad. They should exchange it for free assuming it still feels full. This has happened to me before, i thought there was something wrong with the grill and it was just a bad tank.

Only the first burner will start on my grill and then when I try to start the 2nd sometimes it will start and if it does the flame goes down a lot almost to nothing on both burners and the other 2 burners...

Hello,
Most likely the problem is turning the propane tank valve on too fast. Try disconnecting it, reconnecting it and then very slowly turning the tank valve back on. Also make sure that all the grill knobs are turned to off and only light one at a time, turn it to low flame and light the remaining burners the same way. If this does not fix the issue, it could be a a faulty regulator or clogged burners or orifices. I'm banking on the first solution to fix ya. Let us know if you need additional assistance. Thanks, Douglas

As you light additional burners, flame dies down to almost nothing

did this problem just start? if so check your regulator or the main line for a crimp or obstruction.

Gas grill

Probably 1 of 3 things:
Check your LP tank valve at an LP filling station. Make sure both valve and tank are in working order.
Next check for webs or cocoons up around where knob valves go into burners. You may have to remove burners to see into back of valves. Then swab orifice holes with a torch tip cleaner.
Third, a Menards , LP outfitter/station, or grill shop should have a universal replacement rubber gas line and "regulator"(possibly plugged or stuck shut). Sometimes you end up with cheap/bad regulator out of the factory.
Good luck and hope one these helps or does the trick.

Yellow flame on our gas burners

Hello. Have you tried replacing the regulator? Sometimes spider webs can get into the burner valve orifices or inside the burner ports. You may even also need new burner valves. Let me know if you need to know where the regulator is.

Lighting Problem/2 year-Old Ducane Grill

Do you have enough gas pressure coming out of the regulator and gas valve? You'll need a pressure guage for this.

If yes, try taking out the burners and cleaning them with a wire brush, especially the flame spreading sections.

Sideburner for Thermos Stainless Steel Gas Grill (Mod # 461262006)

It sounds like the orifice is bad. An orifice is a small metal part that has a small hole in it. This regulates the gas coming out to the burner. It is at the tip of the pipe that brings gas to the burners, before the flame. I don't know what the hell the garggley noise is. Unless the bottle is upside down, and you are getting liquid, I don't know.
