Donkey Kong 64 & Expansion or Jumper Pack

I recently purchased the Donkey Kong 64 and when I start the game it says, "Expansion Pack Not Installed". I have a "Jumper Pack" installed. Is the Jumper Pack the same as an Expansion Pack or is something different required. The Jumper Pack runs fine with "Super Smash Bros".

Thanks

The Expansion Pack is different from a the system's default Jumper Pak. You can buy a third party Expansion Pack on ebay for around 5-10 bucks compared to official ones being around 30 dollars. Otherwise, you can't play DK64 and few other games without it.

How to play Donkey Kong 64 without Expansion pack

Donkey Kong 64 was one of only three Nintendo 64 games to require the Expansion Pak (the others being The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Perfect Dark), which provides 4 MB more RAM for enhanced graphics and more expansive environments, as well as to fix a game-breaking bug.We don't think that you can play this game with no expansion pack. I have tried to play perfect dark with no expansion pack and it was not all there then.

My console wont work and when it did it had an error sign. Something about needing a pak. What do I need and how do I get one?

your looking for the "expansion pack" its needed to play the games on the n64, it is located on top of the n64 towards he front of the console. that little door/flap between the power and reset button. get one online for cheap. like ebay or something. keep in mind there are 2 different kind of expansion packs on is black. it is the standard one. one is red on top, that one is better and will play all n64 games like donkey kong 64 and zelda ocarina of time

I cant get jumper pack out 2 install the expansion pack

just pry it out with a flat head screw driver and replace it with the expansion pack, you can always put the exp pack back in plus I dont think you would still have a warrenty on a n64

Can't play StarCraft - what kind of pack do we need and where do it go in the system

The rumble pak is optional, all it does is shake the controller during gameplay. The expansion pak is required to play the game. It increases the Ram inside the console to 8MB. Some games its is optional, While others it is required.
Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark, Starcraft 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask all require it for all the feature to be accessable. There may be other games that use it but they do not require it for the most part

Inserted Ram Expansion Nintendo 64

I would just look at the bottom of the RAM and see if there isn't any dust, I get that problem with my NES and NES games only diffrence is it shows a pink screen instead of a blue screen. I clean the treads of the cartrages including the RAM with a very light damp cu tip. Hope that works out.

I need help!

You're talking about Donkey Kong 64 right?

If so, you need to buy an Expansion Pak.
