Sometimes the little ball bearings that keep the cart trays separated come out causing tray jams.
Make sure your tray retracts all the way into the player flush with the face plate, gently push it in while retracting for those occasional no-read situations. (Also for Denon that takes these same carts). Also note that the CDs go in the Upside Down position.

Pd f-407 wont pick up disc

This type of repair is tricky at best because it is a multi disc player. Some discs will jam together locking up the loading bay, also! the timing gear will go out sync, or the the plastic gears will show signs of ware causing gears to slip, the final aspect is broken worm gear and cogwheels cracked or missing a tooth. In order to repair unit must be dismantled to attempt the repair.

My Pioneer PD-M403 will not play computer made CDs. Why won't they play?

Hello,

incompatibility is the cause of the problem. There is nothing wrong with both your player and the computer made CD's, they are not just clicking with each other.

The Pioneer PD-M403 player is also an old model, this could cause the problem.

There is not settings whatsoever that you can use ti solve this problem.

Take care.

Turned on my Pioneer PD M501 one day and it would not play. Disc tray will not retract into cartridge and cartridge will not eject.

Can't remove cd cartridge because won't power up.

With the top off the unit, you can turn the tray gears manually for slow eject function. Unplug unit before touching anything inside, check internal fuses.
