You may need to do two more additional things.

First, check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks.

If they are o.k.,then you will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Usea Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.

(NOTE: If the cleaning doesn't work, then buy a carb. kit abd replace all appropriate parts.)

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: 32 cc blower not starting

your problem is inside the carburator.there is a small screen inside that needs to be cleaned out.take the single screw from one side of carb.there is a small screen in side.carefully take an air hose and blow it out.do not blow to hard or the screen will blow out.once it's clean the unit will start right up.hope this helped, let me know.................................

Most likely low compression caused by stuck piston rings or a scored piston and cylinder. This unit was made by Poulan and they have had an epidemic of this problem. The solution is to tear the unit down and put in new piston rings. Before you install the new rings you need to get a sheet of glass and some 600 grit wet dry sand paper. Sand each ring down about .002 to .003 and reinstall. This should solve your problem as long as you have good fire and the piston and cylinder is not scored.

if you have compression and spark(a blue one) try priming the engine, put some gas in the sparkplug hole and start the engine.if it fires only the gas you putted inside there is a delivery problem to find and fix(carburator and hoses.

Craftsman 32cc/170 mph leaf blower. Why does it die after a few minutes running?

Is this a consistent situation? Starts, runs then dies after a little while?
If so, sounds like carburetor/fuel pump (which is a one way diagraphm) issue.
Take carburetor apart, and also obtain a rebuild kit for it. Clean it well, compressed air through all the jets, replace the parts from the kit and reassemble. Re-install back onto unit.
Also... Replace Spark Plug, fuel filter and clean the spark Arrestor screen at muffler.

Craftsman blower/vac won't start 358.794765

Sears sells what they call a "carb kit" P/N 545081857. It\'s a complete carb for $30 + shipping + tax. I\'n throwing near $50 after a $90 blower that didn\'t make it a full year. Not to mention that I spent half a day calling uninformed (but personable) clerks at Sears asking them about gasket kits for a carb. They just make up stories, like "bring it in, they will know what to do in the store" or "They have the parts in the department"

I have a Craftsman 32cc blower/vac model #358.797251. Replaced fuel lines and primer bulb. Getting fuel but won't start

Check for spark and air filter in good shape. Make sure bulb side gasket is OK! No leaks! Good luck!

I'm looking at purchasing a 1999 Nissan altima with 125,000 miles on it, I just need to know if there are some particular things I need to look for before i purchase this.

pretty bullet proof car. make sure its automatic. nissan had some issues with differencial bearings failing in their 5 speed manuals. any maybe the intake gasket may have an issue unless it has been replaced already. other then that bullet proof. i would buy it if its clean. great gas milage car too.

My daughter has used reg. gas in my blower/vac.Model 358.794740. and used it until it died. Now it will not start. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks.

Regular gas is what should be used on 2 cycle engines. It could be many things. Check spark plug it might need replacing. Check the air filter if it seems to be plugged up replace it. Your carb might need an overhaul. There are many other problems that might prevent from starting. Without more specific things like is there spark at spark plug, how are the filters including fuel filter, it is difficult to specify what to do. I hope this a bit helpful to you. Best regards.

My Craftsman leaf blower will not start. Why not?

Inside the carb is yet another fuel filter in the form of a screen. It is located just under the inlet needle and it would be included in a carb REBUILD KIT (not simply a diaphragm kit).
Replacing the screen and rebuilding the carb take nearly the same amount of labor so buy yourself a kit. Roughly $10.00 for most Hand-Held blowers.
Hope this helps.
