Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If you have water leaks around the base of your dishwasher, you may be using a detergent that is causing too much suds. Cut back on the amount of detergent you use, and see if that makes a difference. Water that spills through the door vent is usually caused by improperly loading dishes. Leaks from the door itself may be caused by a faulty door gasket or door tightness adjustment. You should check the main tub seal, the door latch, the door gasket, the water-inlet valve, and the fill and drain hoses.

Also make sure the dishwasher is sitting level (you can adjust the front feet up or down, and many units have some type of levelers at the rear). Water under the dishwasher may be originating from a leaky hose or loose hose connection. Remove the lower front panel, and check the hoses. The pump seal may be defective, too; replacing this is a job for an appliance repairperson. An older dishwasher may corrode at the bottom, but this is fairly uncommon. If this is the case with your dishwasher, it's time for a new one. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

While dischwasher is running, water are leaking from the front.

Depending on the model, there are corner seals (kenmore are black) at the base of the door these can fail , Frigidaire, Galax, and Whirlpool/ Tappan use small plastic diverters that are semi clear.
If these are missing in the corners nearest the base of the door then this problem
will occur. Also if you are using regular dish detergent, it will oversuds. One last note,
if the dishwasher has not been used for a while due to handwashing on the disposal side
of the sink, the soap will make its way into the sump of the dishwasher and cause this
condition. Try using several pitchers of water and pumping out the water by rotating the
control knob till it pumps out to dilute the soap. Hope this helps.

My dishwasher didn't drain the water out on the end of the clicle? What could be the problem?

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I would start where your drain line connects to the house drain,This is where most blocked drains happen. Disconnect the drain line and put it in a bucket and try to drain the dishwasher. Chances are its blocked somewhere you just have to find it.

We have an 8 year old Alessi Nespresso machine, and it is leaking water at the base. It seems to leak only when the machine is in use. There is not any water at the base of the water container, so i am...

I have the same model, same age, same problem. It appears to be the seal between the metal heating coils, and the plastic switch that selects steam or coffee. Possibly caused by no cleaning the injector hole with the tool provided with machine (which causes a lot of back pressure). On mine, the screw that holds the switch to the heater has corroded and can not be unscrewed, so not possible to access rubber seal, and repair. May be tricky since this is plastic sealed to hot metal with a rubber gasket. So fo now, i unscrewed the black base plate on the bootom, and set the Alessi in a tray. THen just wipe up water after use.

Dishwasher is leaking on the right hand side when cycle is running. Seal is not broke and everything seems fine. Any suggestions?

The problem could STILL be caused by a worn door seal. Over time, these seals compress to the point where they no longer seal correctly against the inner door facing, or food particles and grime get caught between the inner door and seal and leave small air gaps.

The following link explains some of the common causes of dishwasher leaks and what you can do to prevent them:

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and have great service. Prices vary between them, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed include helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you in locating and properly identifying any parts you may need.

This is a very simple repair that you can perform yourself without the assistance of a repairman, and it usually does not cost much. The average price of a door gasket ranges from $25 to $45 depending on model. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Dishwasher does not drain. Drain valve is very hard to work and has burned out the solenoid. Can you tell me exactly how to get these parts out of the dishwasher. Do I have to replace the pump to replace...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines.

First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the disposer been replaced recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place. Simply remove the drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the disposer has not been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer and use a wet-dry vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and hopefully anything else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test the unit. If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Jenn-Air Microwave M169B 11 years old.

You should be able to get a replacement keypad, and that's not a hard job for a DIYer.

If you're interested, post your correct brand and model and I'll give you a more specific suggestion.

(Your post subject says Jenn-Air M169B put it's posted under Sharp R-316FS so I'm not sure which you have).

If it's a Jenn-Air, you can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

You can usually find Sharp exploded views by entering your FULL model number here: http://www3.sears.com (the 3 is correct)

You can order Sharp parts from there or from Tritronics at http://www.wehaveparts.com

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
