It won't. You need to have a program like iMovie or Final Cut that you can transfer your video form your tape to your hard drive and then you can manipulate or edit the video. Only cameras that record on an internal hard drive will show up as a HD icon. Then all you have to do is drag the material you want from the camera's hard drive to the computer.
