If your Kenmore FRONT LOADER is leaking, the following link can give you guidance on how to inspect the washer to determine where the source of the leak may be coming from:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576656-washer_leak__front_loader

Most commonly, the source of the leak comes from the door bellow (gray rubber seal). They do wear out with age and can develop small rips and tears. A routine inspection of the perimeter of the door seal can determine if you have any holes. If the seal is damaged, it must be replaced. The following link explains how:

The manufacturer recommends that you leave the washer door open between washes to prevent the seal from becoming permanently stretched. Once the seal stays compressed constantly it can stretch and not seal properly. In addition, leaving the door open helpd let the wash tub air out and prevent mold, mildew and musty odors.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

If you have any questions, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

What is the most common reason for my washer to leak water

leaks are usualy from the drain or fill pipes, or door seal(front loaders), and lastly, the pump.
I recommend starting at the hoses, then check seal, then pump

Replace a leaking seal

sorry to tell you but it's very hard and i would suggest calling an expert. before u do push up on the inside of the tub to check for slack. if you feel looseness or a gap up and down(like the tub is loose at the back) you may have a support bearing going out and may have caused the front boot seal to leak. now we are getting into some serious money so wiegh it carefully. :)

I just purchase a Used Kenmore Washing machine HE3 Elite

Check the belt , or the motor, when you turn it on if you see the motor spin then replace the belt or vis versa. You can do this one of two ways. Tilt it up so you can see underneath the unit or remove the back panel

Fine Gray Residue at End of Wash

Probably residue that has built-up. There is now a front-load cleaner that is sold in most all stores; try it and see if that helps out. You use it just like detergent, but it is specifically for the washer insides. Thanks, please leave feedback or contact me again for more info if you need it.
