My picture looks like it is in 3d there shadows on people

Older projection TVs use three separate "light guns" to essentially paint the picture on the screen. What likely happened, is one of your guns went slightly out of alignment.
You can either get it repaired, or attempt to align it yourself. It is doable, though tricky and rather risky. The process would depend on the type of TV you have. If it is a TV that uses the three separate light guns, then it's likely a few years old, and it might be tough to find instructions online for your particular model.

When the tv is first turned on the picture is great. After about 5-10 minutes the picture looks like a 3 D movie when you're not wearing the proper glasses. Sometimes turning it off for 10 minutes and...

the 3d effect is caused by a mis alignment of the tree tubes you probably have a broken FRAME holding the tubes in place so that HEAT or VIBRATION can move them and the alingment is off dont forget you have one tube for RED one for GREEN and the other for BLUE if they are not aligned properly they can look like a 3d pcture without 3d glasses ha! sorry for the bad grammer...

Good luck!

The picture looks bent and looks 3d...my friend who sold me the tv had the same problem and she was able to fix it but she cant figure out how to do it now ... somthing about the red and blue being off...

In the tv menu settings there should be a convergence menu or alignment menu...you need to go here to re-align the red and the blue guns to display the proper picture...most projection tv's have a setup screen for aligning the colors..you want to line up the red and the blue to get as close to white as you can

Need to activate dvdxcopy gold

this software in my own experience is not very user friendly. I recommend getting on a torrent site and trying different DVD software instead actually. Unless you purchased a key, then click on help, and there you should be able to enter your key code to activate in the 'About' section or Register.

I have a 1999 p46811LV rca. When i turn it on it looks like i'm watching everything in 3D. The menu screen also has a bad bow to it. What is going on and how do i fit it? thanks Frustrated in 3D

There is an alignment problem between the three color guns. You CANNOT fix this yourself. There are DANGEROUS high voltages inside a projection TV, especially around the CRT where the steering magnets are located. This voltages can persist for WEEKS after the set has been turned off. Take it to a qualified television repair service.

My rca 52'' flat screen tv

It sounds like your TV needs to be aligned. There should be a menu item in your setup menu called "Alignment". Once you choose this the system will either automatically align itself, or the screen will display a graphic that will allow you to align the guns manually. Normally you will move either up or down or side to side until 2 separate lines look like one.

Picture looks like 3D without 3D glasses on???

The cost I don't know, but this can be fixed. I'd say shop around a bit. Make sure the repair person is certified for your TV's manufacturer. There are generally 3 lamps in projection T.V.'s, Red, Green, and Blue. They have to be aligned for the TV to project a clear picture. A credible TV repairman should be able to fix it. Depending on if it's new enough to be under warranty they may cover it as well. Really the only reason to get rid of it is if you want to get a new TV anyway. Depends on the cost of having the lamps aligned.
