Google earth is quite a demanding program, but if you need to use it, and your pc can run it.
Download the latest Directx update directly from the Microsoft website.. the link is here

Perform a Windows update first to see if there is a Microsoft update for the card. If there isn't, then go to the Acer website, look up your computer, and see if there's an update for the card there. Also, download the various "custom" updates like Directx to install in the computer from the Windows update site.

  1. Click "Start" > "Settings > "Control Panel."
  2. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs."
  3. Scroll down to find "Google Earth" and click it.
  4. Click Remove, then Yes, then Finish. Please note, this may result in an error, which can be ignored.
  5. Download and run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
  6. Uninstall your version of Google Earth by selecting it from the list and clicking "Remove". Please see below for a list of possible entries.

Rear Lights Malfunctioning

Hi,

Usually when this kind of thing happens it will be a bad earth, that means that somewhere within the lighting circuit the earth cable has broken down. Try and locate the earth cable that connects the rear bulbs, see if any rust or damage is visible.
If not you could try adding a seperate earth cable to a clean point close to the bulb holder in the rear.

If this fails to work then it may be an idea to talk with an auto electrician.

Good luck.
