Do you wan to know where the tension is because you want to change it? I don't reccomend that you change tensions. It is in the same area that the discs are when you thread the machine.

I have an american queen treadle sewing machine. Do you know who made/manufactured this machine? Also I need a shuttle and don't know which one. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

Queen was made by White sewing machine company. Parts are available, although I don't know what kind of shuttle you need for your machine. I would need a model number to answer that question. I buy a lot of sewing machine parts on eBay--make sure you know more about your machine before you buy parts. I also suggest you try to find a manual for your machine, and they can be found online for free. I found a link to a company that sells manuals and they have one for the Queen, but I think their prices are a bit high. Just in case it helps you: http://pages.sewing-machine-manuals.com/173/InventoryPage/1811871/1.html

look in the yellow pages of the phone book
when you find a sewing machine shop ask them if they work on your model of sewing machine.
if they do, when you get your machine back make sure to sew on the machine that very day so you know it works correctly, if it doesn't let them know about it, make sure you get a reciept showing what was done to the machine, the price you paid to have it fixed is on the reciept.

Basic instruction to use the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1

I CAN'T HELP YOU WITH THE MANUAL, BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT MOST MACHINES THREAD ABOUT THE SAME. IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS MAYBE A COMMERCIAL MACHINE, AND I WANTED TO WRITE JUST TO TELL YOU TO BE VERY CAREFUL. WITH A COMMERCIAL MACHINE YOU CAN SEW OVER YOUR FINGERS WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING. FOR EXAMPLE, SAY A REGULAR HOME SEWING MACHINE HAS 1,500 rpms, THE EQUALIVENT IN A COMMERCIAL MACHINE IS 15,000 RPMS. THERE IS POWER AND SPEED. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS PARTICULAR MACHINE, BUT WANTED TO TELL YOU TO JUST PUT THE BANDAIDS ON YOUR FINGERS FIRST, BECAUSE IF IT IS A COMMERCIAL MACHINE, IT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO DO A LITTLE BIT OF PRACTICE FIRST BEFORE YOU "PUT THE PEDDLE TO THE METEL".
