I have had vertical lines in the middle of my screen for some time now. Before, they only did this when I shut down the monitor. They would appear and then disappear. Now, they are there all the time and more prominent. I can barely see what is in the middle of my page. My monitor is only about 3-4 years old. How can I fix this? I have tried every fix that is on my monitor and nothing works. Please help. My email address is wyattbarw@mchsi.com. Thank you.

I took a course in Electronics with my job. I also worked as a tech in an electronic repair shop. I pretty much know what you are talking about. Thank you so much. I will work on it.

I am sure you have open the casng of the monitor.
Try to look for cold solder ( dry solder ) pin around the horizontal yoke connector and touch up the solder joints.Or either horizontal yoke coil is open.
Caution: not to touch if don't have knowledge of the circuitry .
Solder it the while power is off.
The input is 240v AC and output at the Anode Cap Appox. 28000 volt for 14 -15" monitor.
Have a try.
