Question about GE JBP24 QuickClean Electric Kitchen Range

Oven help Hi, I saw that you had a similar problem to me, and was curious how you fixed it. My oven was operating normally one day. The next day when I went to turn it on, the light came on normally to say that the oven was on but the oven never heated up. The same problem is present when I tried to turn on the burners; the light would come on saying that they were hot but they actually were not. I unplugged the unit and checked that it was receiving the proper 240 voltage. I also removed the back panel and checked that this voltage was making it into the unit itself, which it was. I have also checked my circuit breakers in my home, which are working properly. Thanks!! Ross

Hey Ross,
My problem turned out to be a bad wire. I can't remember though if it showed when I tested the voltage or not--it seems like from memory though that it tested fine. HOWEVER, my home was built in the 1940's and upon inspection of the full length of cable and the junction box, it looked bad enough to make that the starting point for the fix. We swapped out the cable. It worked.
(btw, that was after buying a new oven, installing, and finding that it didn't work I returned the oven and my old one is working like a charm.)
Good Luck

F2/F3 error message relates to the oven temperature sensor or thermostat faults.

The fix is normally to replace it.

Jenn-air dbl oven WW30430B. Lower oven doesn't work anymore. Try to pre-heat - get F2 message. This started a year ago. Shortly after onset we had a hurricane and were without power for 2 days. When power...

HI. the oven control will interrupt normal actions if it senses an abnormal oven temperature. this can be caused by a faulty RTD(temp sensor), and, also, a faulty relay board if present.

Replace relay board, if present, or oven temperature sensor (RTD). Check sensor harness to make sure it is in good condition.
