Slight RGB alignment problem

My Philips ProScreen 4650 has a slight RGB alignment problem. Is there any way I can adjust the alignment? Thanks for any help or suggestion

Yeah my RGBs are all pointing in different directions causing bars of extra colors on the sides of the picture causing a wanna be 3D look and I have no idea how to fix it.

I seem to have the same rgb problem's s the others. The pics posted are identical to mine. When watching a movie or doing powerpoint, everything has a yellow, green, or blue ghost outlining images depending on what side of the screen the image is on(right or left). Is this something that can be fixed myself, or does it have to be taken in, or is the projector junk? Please let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thanks

We had the same problem, and it seemed to fix itself when we did the following (not sure exactly what it was we did, but it worked):
1) Remove the outer box on the right side (one by the lens), rear, and top. (you'll need a T9 torx screw driver with a long shaft as the first 4 screws are on the bottom under the rubber feet and caps on the front corners of the bottom.)
2) On the top is a board that has 3 orange cables coming out of it as well as some others. We completely removed that board and reinstalled it.
3) We determined that the 3 orange cords control the color out put.
4) So leaving all of the outer sides off, when we reconnected the board and provided power, the image came out properly aligned.
5) We're now struggling w/color. Based on how you insert the orange cords you get different color saturation. We seem to be missing a proper/consistent red display.
6) But the colors are all aligned and the image clear. We're getting there . . . .

Be very careful!!! You could electrocute yourself.

The adjustment requires disassembling the projector. It's not really something that should be attempted in the field.

Phlips proscreen 4750, how do i open up the case to get to the inside/ and how do I adjust the convergence?

There is not a lot you can do with it, even setting up the static convergeance as you require a crosshatch generator, dot generator and specialist tools to adjust the LCD immagers.
It is not practical for the laman to attempt an adjustment of this sort.
Take it to a Philips Specialized Repair Centre.

HOW CHANGE DE BULB?

On the side you plug everything to.... has 2 screws.remove them ..after completly removing screws..remove cover plate remove the 2 screws holding the bulb housing... you will see a hinged flap pull on this and the whole unit comes out..DO NOT REMOVE IF BULB IS HOT!!!!!
The new bulb comes with a new housing Please do not touch the bulb the oil from your hands will reduce the life of your bulb..Slide the new one in put the screws back, , the cover back and thats it

Color alignment is off

i also have the exact same problem. i picked up 3 of these used for my work and kept one at home. I knew one had issues and another had a burned out bulb and so on. I had a repair place to combine the two to make one good one. The repair man said that they had a real hard time keeping the color locked in alignment. It's not a physical alignment, its controlled by the board output and somehow the board can be adjusted. It was vague to me. After about a good couple of years of hard use the one at home is now doing the same. On one hand I want to fix it but I dont even have a plasma so I may go and spend $800-$1000 on a hi def DLP. At that price it won't be the best but it will rock this projector. that would be my advice rather than putting more money into this old model.

RGB not aligned so I get thin red vertical stripes displaced to right of icons

If you are handy with allen wrenches, quality screw drivers, and the like, you might 'try' opening up the can of worms and gently manipulating the red LCD panel (it will be obvious--a magenta color when off), by slightly loosening the holding screws, then moving--ever so slightly, the panel untill the ghost disappears. Do not do this though, untill you mark the present position on the top and bottom of the LCD panel. Take pictures, far and close-ups, as you go so you can reassemble the unit. The typically three LCDs can be located by finding the prism cube, located under the circuit board, and just before the output lens. Be patient, and have fun. I did this with an 'out of wack' throw away, and now it is just as enjoyable as my 'dimmer' HDTV projector. Even side by side, from 8 feet away, when both are making 72" images, the HDTV is barely clearer, Jon.
