Press the knob in like a push switch. You should feel a click. This should turn the radio back on.

It has been physically broken and the only solution is to replace the item.
If you can solder , then dismantle the radio and identify the item
Replacements available on the Internet (Ebay, Maplins , Radio Shack etc)
